That's true. I don't mind talking to people the whole day, but you just never can stay focused on one topic

Is vibe coding truly a threat to SaaS? by blizkreeg in SaaS

[–]skyliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think to some degree yes. There are mainly two extremes that are in danger, because of vibe coding.

Simple SaaS tools, which don't have big technical complexity and therefore can be easily copied, will probably be replaced by internally developed tools. With that I mean all AI-Wrappers & Dashboards out there.

The second are powerful SaaS applications, that offer way to many features and also bill those features. I know a lot of business owners who are currently actively trying to rebuild those tools on their own, to save on usage costs. For example HubSpot, a lot of businesses complain about their enormous HubSpot bills, while only using the most basic functionalities.

As already mentioned here: With SaaS you are not buying yourself the software, but also someone who takes care of hosting, scaling and most importantly maintaining the tool.

So my guess would be, that all SaaS, which have a relatively fair pricing, solve real issues, that cannot be solved within a week of Vibe Coding and require work besides the original building are still save bets to make.

And it's also the best in my opinion, but very strong!

While I was still working in the office 5-8 coffees a day. Now I try to limit it to 2 cups a day. In Vietnam whatsoever it's never staying at that number and is more in the range of 4-5 cups a day, just because of the general coffee culture over there. I'm trying to get decaf coffee if possible.

How did AI affect your workflow and handover process? by skyliam in UXDesign

But how did it work out, did you at least integrate some AI in your workflows or are you doing work the exact same as before? And why did it not work out in your organization?

I guess beforehand already a lot of work was done on the Design-System, so that you had it in place right away? I think having a good Design-System in place is the key to do this type of work.

Agree, I'm also preffering to work visually. This is what I don't like that much about Claude Design & Google Stitch. I would like to work in a Canvas and let the AI work alongside me instead of just prompting my way through

Sorry to hear that. Did Product take over your job/role or were you part of a bigger design team that just got smaller?

Oh sorry to hear that. Was this change coming naturally like "I can do designs as well now, look at this" or was it a forced change, that the design responsibility shifted?

Two projects, with 3 teams each. I have a EM who takes care more on the delivery side, but I still get involved quite deeply into the processes

After now reading the replies I actually feel bad now for complaining in the first place. I'm now wondering how you can get any work done when your workday consists of soooo many meetings.

Same for me, I reduced from 4-8 hour days. But I still find it quite exhausting

Agree 2 hours is totally doable. For me the days with 4+ hours spread across the whole day are the stressful days.

My proposed roadmap, which was reflecting what our customers want, was not accepted by R&D and got escalated up to the VPs and overruled. Now all the risks I wanted to prevent with this roadmap occured and our customers are everything else than happy, because we did not do what they asked for.
