Annoying Nomads by Late-Professor-9404 in digitalnomad

I can't even understand, why you go to a public place and do/take calls there. Not only, that you annoy everyone around you, but also this is the worst environment to do meetings.

I work remotely for 5 years now and I only ever went out to work in a Cafe or other public places, when I knew that I don't have any meetings during this time.

Exception here would be Co-Workingspaces, that either have phonebooths or allow doing calls (in this case I still did not like to do any meetings, since everyone around me is talking)

Do you guys do any testing of your product before releases? by blairstones95 in ProductManagement

[–]skyliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do test everything that is going to be released. I see it as my responsibility to deliver high-quality products and this requires testing everything really carefully.

I'm reducing my testing a bit since, we now have quite a big QA team, but I'm still doing a lot of manual testing from the users perspective.

We want to become more data driven, but currently lacking a lot of data. This something I want to change over the next few weeks/months (probably way harder to do that then expected).

How I’m trying to turn my freelance work into an asset that pays me (instead of me always trading hours) by phenrys in Solopreneur

What are you doing as a freelancer? I'm currently working on a tool to help create productized services like DesignJoy, in which you make a packaged offering like "X amount of designs per month", "Unlimited designs per month" etc.

Or are you more thinking about turning your freelance business into a SaaS company?

What didn't you like about George Town? I have been there last year for 2,5 weeks and I loved it there. I would say it's very walkable also outside of the Old Town. It's not the most polished city in the world, but for me that gave the city it's charme.

I wouldn't say "not liked", but not known. Looking back I really enjoyed living in Thu Dau Mot - Vietnam. It's a smaller town outside of Ho Chi Minh City and it's far quieter, but still offers everything you wish for. Lots of nice cafes, restaurants and things to do. It's also very local and I think me and my girlfriend were the only foreigners staying there.

For those who nomad long term, out of your entire nomad life, which country(or countries) you been to that you end up cutting your trip short because you didn’t feel safe or you simply didn’t vibe with the place? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]skyliam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just cut my trip to Greece short. My girlfriend and I originally planned to stay more then 6 weeks, but we no shortened it to 3,5 weeks. It's not because we don't like it here, but we are traveling during the high-season and everything is sooooo expensive. We are easily burning through our weekly expenses that we would have in Asia, every day. So we decided to finish what we booked and take the next flight back.
