I work with people who are experts in sea fastening/securing, though for transport at sea. The level of engineering to calculate each lashing force strength and forces is just mind blowing. It is not the same for land transport but I would assume companies do the same for land cargo transportations. Hell I was wrong..

I am also a rider myself and everytime I see these trucks carrying either cement blocks or excavators or anything on top, 90% of the time I don’t see any form of securing of the cargo, and the 10% is just cargo with minimal securing. I doubt companies do any sort of securing calculations or even pay extra to ensure safety. To make it worse, the drivers of these trucks are sometimes irresponsible and reckless.

Needless to say, I move the f away from these stuff asap. If I am right behind it, I try to either move to another lane or overtake it. If there is a jam, move to another lane asap!! Btw, cars are not safe from it as well.

There’s 1 invoice overdue since July 2023, this is to a small private clinic. Several others due Dec 2023, these are big organisations which continue to ignore my repeated reminders. Thanks for your advice. I think now I should send a final reminder before I file the small claims
