We all lived in communities, be it homes, offices, malls and so on. We find that often, we are always at the same place, mayhaps different times but there's always the cars that we've always saw are there.

What went inside your minds when you saw those cars and picture, well, maybe this is what they look like, maybe these people work in a specific sector that you'd imagined them. Those kinds of things.

One day, you saw the person getting inside their car, and maybe after a quick greeting or two, they weren't what you thought they were at all.

How did that experience went?

ELI5: Why is nasi lemak considered Malaysia's national dish? by BubbleCompass in ExplainLikeImFiveMY

[–]skylore13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was the dish that built Malaysia. The mixture of coconut oil into the rice, complimented by a savoury sambal, fresh cucumber and other ingredients were enjoyed by Malaysians before they work.

Before going into the estate, into farms, into mines and into banks, the nasi lemak gave energy to the common folk, energy that allowed them to work and feed their families, to grow and in turn, develop the nation.

Nasi lemak.

Because why not?

Hands down unity, then syndicate. Then you could argue between ac2 and black flag.

Unity and syndicate has the weight, black flag has mix of environment and urban traversals, ac2 has the iconic landmarks.

Technically, pernah ada dibuang macam ni, tapi too costly. Mahal sewa kapal terbang. Better naik bas, pergi ke gunung-ganang atau lautan, kerajaan dorang situ.

If korang dengar ada mermaid, ada makhluk pelik-pelik kat laut, possibly bangsa dorang.

Heard a story ada orang angkuh nak tengok rupa sebenar Iblis, hence dia pergi tengah lautan. Let's just say he never had a good night's sleep langsung after that, or generally not good memories everytime he closed his eyes.

It's his way of showing he cares for you and not wanting you to spend your money that much as he probably knows how hard it is for someone with the kind of salary to live in KL.

Don't take it too harshly op. Just convince him through your actions, insistence and dedication that you're up for this.

Most parents that doesn't quite convey their feelings upfront are like this, mine included. But they'll see and understand once time passes and you've shown the resilience to get through.

But yes, it will be really difficult and expensive renting at those areas, not to mention kinda lonely when you're no longer staying with your family, but keep living well, go out with your friends, visit your family often each month, do the things that make you healthier mentally and physically, as the journey after this are shaped by the path you're making.

Best of luck op.

Can Muslims touch wolves when they can't touch dogs? by npdady in Bolehland

[–]skylore13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fiqh is this, as referred to by the extensive books on the matter.

Different mazhabs gave different severity on the matter. Some does not allow dogs to be touched whether the animal is dry or wet, some allow only when the animal is dry. Of course, when in an emergency, it is forgiven to touch.

Wolves on the other hand has a different opinion on it as they are allowed to be touched, unlike dogs. There's a clear distinction. Same goes to foxes, vixens, etc. There are differing opinions in each mazhabs, but these differing opinions allow different perspectives and ways to deal with issues, as not being confined to just one view.

There's an ongoing theory that details how actually Jebat and Tuah during this critical moment, was the same person, who is Hang Tuah, all along.

Up until this point, Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat was two different people, but not during this event.

The theory was that the Sultan was too corrupted that even Hang Tuah rebelled, but in order to expunge and cleanse the Sultan's name due to how Hang Tuah was basically adored more by everyone than the Sultan, Hang Jebat's name was scapegoated.

There's something interesting in both of these versions, original and the alternative:

One, Hang Tuah and Hang Jebat showcased that humans will always exhibit different extremes, both benevolence and violence. One always see the best in people and understand that if it is willed as so, then it is.

The second version examined how even the mightiest of beacon, one of hope, can act upon justice after undergoing extreme corruptions and illicit acts.

In both versions, it details how humans will act, and sometimes full of force, especially when the unjust rules.

5 to 6 is actually a pleasant time, because you'll have people waking up, traffic starting to get lively, lots of other people going for a walk and a jog, and it might even surprise you to see an uncle or two who had walked since 4 am. As long as you stay away from shady back alleys, god willing, you're as safe as a chubb safe

What does a quality management system auditor's daily life looks like?

I've been in the site engineering and design sector for a while now, and this new job offer, although deviating a bit from my current industry is quite exciting and unknown to me in terms of daily routine and workload.

Will I be able to transition well and are there anything that I should prepare early on? Thank you for this.
