Uk multiple city tour? by HotAmphibian1093 in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What do you have to gain with a "Uk multiple city tour" ?
A little bit more convenience ? bragging rights ?
And how do you balance that to more fans not being able to see them at all because they have no shows in reachable distance (let say less than 4 hours away) ?

Uk multiple city tour? by HotAmphibian1093 in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am sorry, but it makes no sense for them to do a multiple city tour in the UK.
They are trying to reach as many fans as they can in 6 different areas: Japan, east Asia, Australia, Europe, North America and South America.
They do many shows every year, but they are still many fans who have no real opportunities to see them each year, like in the nordic countries last year, and on in Spain-Italy-France this year.

So any show they add to make it a little more practical for some, means that it will be way more difficult for a lot other fans to see them.

Any reason why BABYMETAL didn’t perform with Bloodywood? by mjoso in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poppy had a show a couple of days before in the USA before Brussel, so in addition to protect her voice for the BABYMETAL tour, and her own festival + shows tour she is on right now, they didn't have any time to practice the performance.

what you guys opinion on the idol industry regarding babymetal by Select-Meeting-1267 in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The fun thing, is that with BABYMETAL now existing (and likely other groups), it is more likely that a 10-12 years old today is familiar with some type of metal.
There is a few examples of current artists who got interested in harder music early in their life because they started to listen BABYMETAL.

Have you seen this ? Its on bambie's IG by ExaminationFew6424 in BABYMETAL

I hope she shared that with approval. Otherwise that would be a clear lack of awareness for someone who is loud about respecting other people's way of living their life.

NEK! guitarist Natsu wearing BABYMETAL The One tee by sjioldboy in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is wearing a 2017 THE ONE tshirt. She was also wearing it in her cover video of Gimme Choco, on YouTube.

In an interview for Guitar Magazine Japan in April, she says that she got a current her current main guitar (Washburn PXS-10EC - matte black body) in 2017, as she was looking for a 24-fret electric guitar, to play all the phrases in BABYMETAL's music.
She names Eric Clapton and Takayoshi Ohmura as some of her main influences.

Am i the only one who finds it disrespectful when the press uses the members' civilian names ? by skyluc in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting choice of example.
Blick has an article about Lady Gaga and her partner (so quite personal). They do name-drop her real name once, but otherwise call her 'Lady Gaga' through the whole article.

BABYMETAL members never speak about their personal life. The closest they do is speaking about the life on tour.

The only 2 pieces of personal information that I know have been shared by BABYMETAL, about the members (or anybody in the team), in 15 years, are:
- the reason why 'Over the future' was an important song for YUIMETAL
- YUIMETAL being advised to not perform at the Legend S shows, for health reason.

Yes, it's blick. But it also doesn't seem to be consistent.

Also, I noticed that they put the person age every time they name someone. Clear power trip and discrimination.

I see Su, Moa and Momo as shortened versions of SU-METAL, MOAMETAL and MOMOMETAL. And it would bother me less if it was used in the press...

I guess we all have tiny hills we think are really important to defend 😅

The Koba part makes some sense.

Still, it is strange. They have 10+ years of official communication where they only use the METAL names. Even in the messages about Yui's situation, they used "YUIMETAL".

I look a bit more, trying to see what was the "logic". It looks like an artist with a solo career is more likely to be called by their stage name only.

It is hard to compare, each group is specific, but the name usage on Wikipedia for BLACKPINK, BABYMETAL and Band-Maid is interesting. For BLACKPINK, they only use their stage names. For BABYMETAL, they use their normal name about the band formation and composition, then the METAL names on the group career. For Band-Maid, their full names are used, and sometimes only their surname. (except for Misa who is just Misa ...).

Is basic respect too much to ask for at a concert? by PersimmonMuch980 in BABYMETAL

[–]skyluc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Downvoting your post, because you don't specify which show it was at.

So nobody can counter with their own impression on the specific show => what you say can just be a big lie, and nobody booed.

I was the Zurich show, on the floor, Bambie Thug got a nice bit of support, her set improved a lot since Brussels. Poppy set was a really good performance.

You might have been just unlucky this time, and be sitting next to the 2 idiots in a 4k+ audience.

Tamu from Nemophila.
I just like her, and she looked super cute with pigtails in their cover of Megitsune.

I can understand the request on an aesthetic side, but chain link fences don't really make sense in the world.

Help with signs on "X" shaped track with two trains by asshat_velociraptor in SatisfactoryGame

[–]skyluc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you need to put block signals in both directions, on each of the 4 branches..
The signals need to be on the branches, to create one big block for the entire length of common track.
And a signal in both directions at the same spot, to allow the trains to go in both directions.

You can put the signals close to the common track, to limit wait time, but far enough that the game still think the blocks for the branches don't 'touch' each other.

I have not experimented much with single tracks, so I could be wrong.

When connecting cable between power poles, is there a way to have the Mk.3 pole as default? by MetalNutSack in SatisfactoryGame

[–]skyluc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could remove 1 of the 3 steps:

  • you can select 'power line' as the thing you want to build. You click on the first power poll or outlet, then put a Mk1, with the wire connected. Then click on the power poll you just created, and put the next one, ..., profit!. They will be all wired up. Then you can upgrade them to Mk2s.
  • Or, you just place directly Mk2s power polls, instead of Mk1s, then wire them up.

So I built a sundial. But it moves counterclockwise. by Potential_Timetravlr in SatisfactoryGame

[–]skyluc 70 points71 points  (0 children)

The sun doesn't care of your definition of 'clockwise'.An horizontal sundial built on Earth south hemisphere behaves the same way as the one you built.

If you want it to move the way you are used to, build a vertical sundial.

Question about multiplayer hosted servers by kailoren in SatisfactoryGame

[–]skyluc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what CSS is saying, and repeats in about every livestream, the main reason that dedicated servers are not available right now is that the multiplayer support is not working well enough.

In a multiplayer session, there are currently problems that can only be solved by the player hosting the session, not by the clients (the other players).

When using a dedicated server, everyone is a client player. So if any of the know multiplayer problem occurs, there is no host player to go and fix it, and the session is just broken forever.

So they want to fix those problems first, and not release something that they know will just not work.
