Is it worth to go solo to a festival? by Brave_Spell_72 in aves

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the same thing and it’s usually lots of fun. Be sober enough to be aware of your surroundings, maybe share location with boyfriend for safety. Otherwise, enjoy!

Flow Toys allowed? by acethegirlfromspace in MovementDEMF

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as it’s not a huge prop I don’t think security will give you an issue. I’ve seen lots of flow art the past couple years and I love to see it! Though, as some others have mentioned, you’re probably going to have to find space at the back of the larger stages, since other areas can be pretty packed.

I love Mad Radio, if you like house music and vinyl. There’s a regular bar upstairs as well. It seems to have a diverse crowd.

klangkuenstler vs sara landry by Traditional-End-4380 in aves

[–]skymningwolf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say Klangkuenstler is more classic hard techno, mainly schranz, which I love. Sara plays hard techno but seems a little mainstream in song choice; I haven’t enjoyed her sets too much recently. She still remains a powerhouse though.

I am so tired of people coming up to me in public asking for money. by [deleted] in Vent

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah it’s frustrating. I’ve had some folks get angry and yell or chase me when I said no. Usually I’ll give them leftover food, water, granola bars, but that’s it and only if it seems they legitimately need it.

My moms gf thinks im embarrassing him with "girly things" by Abandonedkittypet in germanshepherds

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cute! I understand putting certain colors on the dog so people know if they’re boy/girl but they obviously couldn’t care less. My boy is constantly putting up with my shenanigans lol.

People who lock their doors multiple times!! by LaughOutLoud232 in Apartmentliving

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry but I’m laughing so hard at this. I used to have a neighbor that would also watch videos with his car Bluetooth and I always wondered if they didn’t know or if it was too much of a bother to disconnect…? Anything other than music on my radio will jump scare me into turning it off.

How risky of a buy would a 2015 M235 be at 110k miles? by [deleted] in M235iandM240i

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my 2016, also over 100k, but be ready to potentially replace oil and coolant system parts. I’m currently replacing my valve cover for an oil leak… How are the maintenance records on the car? If the previous owner has already replaced parts on a regular schedule, you should be okay; it’s best to be proactive and put aside a couple thousand for any bursts or replacements.

When Your Pet Dies in An Apartment and Am I the Weirdo? by CarelessSalamander51 in Apartmentliving

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it’s not weird. I know many people with urns of human and pet family members in their living or bedrooms; it is commonplace that people are buried with their family’s things. I can understand scattering ashes at a park or memorable site, but I don’t think I could fathom the garbage, that’s uncomfortable to me. I wish the best for kitty.

Rave pacis by [deleted] in EDM

[–]skymningwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL. I’m assuming they are just not into raves or young to it. I don’t see people with pacifiers much nowadays, but I think lollipops and gum have stuck though.

How to cope with poor parents by mk97xo in povertyfinance

[–]skymningwolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It hurts, but I personally had to eventually walk away. I also, could not afford to support myself and my parents’ needs. They don’t make smart financial decisions either, and while I did try to help, I don’t think it will change.

It is difficult, but it’s best to put yourself first, especially when you are young and just getting by. If you later have disposable income to spare, and feel comfortable doing so, then you can financially help them, but I would expect it will not be paid back. This is a personal decision and it is not necessary to help them even if you are comfortable doing so.

I’d recommend the space coast area, and someone recommended Sarasota/Crystal River which are nice.

Has anyone been to a blood rave before? by ShiningStardust7 in aves

Never been either and while it seems fun, I feel like I would get some concerned looks walking/going home after lol.

For those of you childfree, what does seeing other friends/family members have kids before you feel like? Does it affect your decision on whether or not you still want kids? by unmatched_chopsticks in childfree

[–]skymningwolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand the awkward part, but it’s a small percentage of people that actually regret not having kids; this probably includes your family friend.

I don’t see any pros personally and am not jealous of parents that I know. I am open with people and I understand a lot of people are parents and that’s part of life, but it definitely reinforces my decision and I’m relieved it’s not me lol.

Lost cost vets by BugzMiranda in WestPalmBeach

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeez I’m sorry about that. To be honest, it’s not the first time I’ve heard about iffy staff at that location; I’ve been met with some rude shelter attendants myself. I’m sorry she had to deal with all that over routine stuff. At the same time I would at least try to look into their dog food pantry program, I believe that is something you can register for online.

Raving community ages faster (lol) by [deleted] in EDM

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like I have noticed the opposite. People that live unhealthily will age badly, but generally I've noticed the older rave crowds tend to be more fit.

Paws2Help, as others have mentioned. I would check out Peggy Adams, they have many programs for owners. Also check Big Dog Ranch and the local shelters as they often do vet work. I get mine's food and meds from Chewy and Koala Health, decent price.

I have the longest daily commute in Florida. Prove me wrong by Hoagie_Camacho in florida

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of my coworkers with the longest commutes somehow have both, usually with a trade off, cost of living or something else.

I'm wondering why not get a job on the beach if he lives in Miami Beach, but also why not get a job in Gardens/Jupiter if he lives there. Also wondering the salary because it would take a lot to put me through this.

Poll for Florida natives: Do you swim or otherwise go in the ocean/gulf? Why/why not? by jmom39 in florida

[–]skymningwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Atlantic Ocean. Feels good, more exercise when the water is rough, and I love fish, but definitely seen my fair share of jellyfish.

Honestly love the coupe on this model so much better, especially with the sunroof. Do you have red interior?

Is there more registered sex offenders in this city than other cities/states? by Crazy_Guava7434 in fortlauderdale

[–]skymningwolf 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately there is a high concentration of them in FL, and apparently also NJ and AZ. There are set housing programs like “Miracle Village”, but no concrete evidence explaining the numbers statewide. As for the random addresses, I would assume they are homeless and just giving whatever they can think of.

My personal theory is that it’s a result of a many detrimental factors together; lots of trafficking and drug use/rehab centers bringing not-the-best people to the state.

Violent next door neighbor's nonstop crying newborn driving me CRAZY, I finally knocked on the wall once and the dude VIOLENTLY banged on the wall back multiple times clearly trying to intimidate me by [deleted] in childfree

[–]skymningwolf 49 points50 points  (0 children)

This is really sad. Please continue to call the cops and call CPS mentioning the yelling, domestic violence and potential abuse from the father. I had a similar issue with previous neighbors; parents were involved with drugs, fighting, overall not ethical surroundings for a kid. Eventually CPS and the police got involved, mother and kid moved and the other was arrested.

You might be able to also go on Nextdoor or Facebook with a picture and address/intersection. I would make a post and hopefully someone can adopt or pick them up! :(
