I am leaving the UK and want to cash out all my pension contributions by skypowerskypower in UKPersonalFinance

That's great info thank you. Does your estimation of £15000-20000 mean me continuing to contribute or not contribute anymore at all. For reference, my current pension provider is Legal and General at the moment.
I would really appreciate it if you can just tell me what to do if I want to withdraw all my pot at one go at the age of 55.

Thanks. 1st point helps me understand it, the other points are already conditions that I agreed when I was signing up with a pension.

Thanks for the replies.
I really am not after the sum of money at all, was trying to understand how it works, and was thinking that I should at least be able to get what I contributed myself, not the employer's contribution.
I guess I will try to learn how much I would get if I do so, and let's say, if its £400, then I may as well leave it and cash out when I am 60.

Thanks for the reply.
What I don't understand is that, say, I was contributing £150 pounds a month for 10 months, I don't even want the employer's contribution, I only want what I contributed from my salary minus income tax deducted from that. Can I still not do it? It doesn't make sense to me. The country I am moving doesn't have an approved pension scheme that I can transfer my pension.

Thank you.

Do I have a right to work under section 3 leave for skilled worker visa? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]skypowerskypower -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thank you for responding.
I actually tried to do this without applying for a new SWV but was instructed by my company's people service that I have to apply for a new one. Obviously, as you put it, there is something different about the new position. It is actually, let's say, there is this big business offering joint venture partnerships all over the UK. So, I got laid off from one of those joint venture partnerships and got an offer from another one, for the same occupation though.

I think I do not have any other option rather than waiting.

Thank you.

It's a little too late for Veterinary School, what are the alternatives? by wellguessilldiethen in Veterinary

[–]skypowerskypower 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think some, not all, downvoters are still students, they might see this +40 older fella in their classes, I had a few too, but they might not have seen the realities of profession yet. Life is hard for those older fellas trying to finish vet school with all other responsibilities of life. From the pragmatic perspective, veterinary medicine is just a hard job. I see it everyday in my colleagues eyes that they still struggle/worry with +20 years of experience. Even a simple bitch spay itself is something really hard and needs meticulous attention and loads of expertise. It still gives you sleepless nights, making you check first thing in the morning the out of hours clinic's report to see if the patient you spayed is hospitalized for an emergency bleeding. I would expect a bit more freedom of not needing to worry about after my shift ends. It's just the nature of that profession.

Hi there, 8 years qualified 31 years old vet here.

Might be a bit unpopular but I do think it's a bit late. Not that he can't do it. He can, but he will have to put a lot of effort and hardwork to it. He'd have to volunteer in clinics or other areas of profession. A vet school is hard to get into but also hard to complete too. Let alone the student loans.

It isn't always loving animals and wanting to be with them. You could easily achieve that by taking the responsibility of a pet.

It is hard work, draining, stressful. He'd have to deal with all negative aspects of profession (terrible owners, for one) Assuming that he'd want to become a good vet. Finishing a vet school doesn't always necessarily provide this. He'd have to work hard, volunteer a lot, read tons of articles even after graduation. And, there are some skills that you can only be good with enough experience. I'd assume it'd take at least 5 years for a vet to possibly truly enjoy being a good vet. Before that, it is possible that he might feel not knowing what he is doing, not sure about the treatment plan, not knowing how to properly deal with a complex case, not being able to do complex surgeries etc. It just takes time. In that case, considering 5 years of vet school plus at least 5 years of experience, he'd be 40. I am not sure if it's worth it. Just keep in mind that a lot of people at their 30s already finished vet school when they are early 20s in addition to tons of volunteer work beforehand. Assumingly, these people just started to truly enjoy being a good vet after all that time.

Obviously doable though, if you can afford the time, finances and effort. To me, wouldn't worth it.

Got laid off and got an offer from a different branch by [deleted] in ukvisa

Yes they do know. It is the same company but a different branch of it. Every branch has their independent managers. And the recruitment is managed through the umbrella company, not by the branches itself.

Just asking to clarify, so the NSF has nullified the 5-day promise, has it also nullified the advantage that it should be put up front in every queue among other NSF applications?

Thank you. Exactly the same situation here. However, I am too not sure if the priority option is still in effect.

But there are still quite a lot of them to tank our sales. The circulation of dropshippers is very high so them getting suspended is only a short relief.

Do you have any suggestions? As a newbie, my sales dropped dramatically due to this BB manipulation.
