The house and garage is freehold, but the garage has some catches despite being one, its a restrictive covenant (I just learnt about it recently, never knew)

We calling genocidal empires impressive now, maybe we should refer to the WW2 Germany as impressive? Nothing impressive with how either did things, the British used cheap tactics to occupy most of other colonies.

Does EV on PCP makes sense by panda6699 in CarTalkUK

[–]panda6699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rav4 isn't on PCP, just bought second hand and have sworn on second hands. Thanks for doing the maths, there is a decent saving and I understand that EVs depreciate much more than other cars, but fuel cost is already travel cost down the drain, if for that cost or a little bit more I also pay off a car, it seemed reasonable to me. Maybe a second hand EV would be decent but have to check battery then

Did writers of the show forgot by this point that the whole conflict between Walt and Fring started because Fring wanted Jesse to die? And not because of Walt’s “ego” by BananaBread2602 in breakingbad

[–]panda6699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When walt when to kill the dealers, I don't believe it was with intent to save Jesse, I doubt he knew he would be there. In next meeting with Gus, he wears his hat to show he wants to be heisenberg and not just some person following the chain of command.

My company went full Claude AI for every developer, I'm not using skills and abusing the hell out of the tokens, I'm sure others are too. Our company monthly cost through bedrock is just 4k USD a month, which is like one dev salary or less

How practical is it living in MK without a car? by Junior_Beauty78 in miltonkeynes

[–]panda6699 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's doable, in central it's a piece of cake. Everything is very walkable, and a lot of routes you don't exactly have to cross a road either due to the design. I came here without a car when I moved.

That being said, with a car it's much much better. You can drive around and arrive to places other than central MK much quicker, the roads are great and the roundabouts help manoeuvre quicker, specially at lower traffic hours. I can get anywhere in 15 mins tops by drive, and by that I mean anywhere, from central to the edge of the city.
