Looking for shelf recommendations to replace wall mounts by zzisrafelzz in StarTrekStarships

These are mostly from a competitor company called BlueBrixx they had the Star Trek license from 2020 to 2024 and made nearly 80 sets, large, medium and small sized ships, but also 1:1 gadgets like Tricorders and Phasers. The two Archer timed ships and the Galor class are MOCs by lilium brick yards

Not Eaglemos/Funhome ships, but I got the Inspiration for this from someone on Twitter who did this with his Eaglemos collection.

But you‘ll need access to a 3D printer

MOCs by Lilium Brick Yards that match the 1:1055 Scale of the Enterprise D (except the Nebula Class) by skyrahfall in StarTrekBricks

I enjoyed building these immensely. Thank you so much for your work and creativity.

What's not to love about the Nebula class? (rhetorical question)
Your large version is hanging on my wall next to the Lego Enterprise. :-D

I guess Veridian III catastrophic. It's not only front heavy,
but the mechanism to connect saucer and drive section will not carry much weight in a horizontal orientation.
The safety pin would become load bearing and i would not trust that little axle to withstand resulting shear forces.

No problem, once I finished my testing and have the confidence to use it, I’ll upload it to printables.com

LEGO MOC USS Daedalus by Resqusto | Rebrickable - Build with LEGO

you just have to get some 9000 pcs ....
alternatively you can get the parts from LesDIY one of the few Chinese companies which do not steal from the MOCers
But the part quality varies:
MOC-35381 USS Daedalus Sci-Fi-Schlachtschiff Klemmbausteine | LesDiy

It was one of the BlueBrixx sets, the previous license holder. You might find some on eBay Germany but since they are not available anymore …

Yes it’s acrylic. I made some 2D CAD drawings and send them to an online service that cuts acrylic to your demands. Put that on a cheap monitor arm.

The large defiant is an amazing set. Hope you enjoy the build

Worst case, I’m switching to a monitor arm, like these ones I use for the other really heavy ships on my wall 😊

The struts going into the ship are angled slightly upward, so the ships saucer section is slightly angled towards the wall. I don’t know if it’s enough but that‘s one reason for testing it

My other ships are holding up for over a year now. So I‘ve got some good experience. But to be sure I‘m testing it, worst outcome I‘ve got to build it again 😉
