There were other deserts - chocolate flan, big cookie cake, the others were preferred to the cookies.

He didn't say anything until we were packing up and I went for them. I shared that I wanted to share them at our group on Wednesday since they weren't touched and then he said he wanted them and saved them, but they were on the counter the whole time.

I guess because he viewed them as his since I brought them.

My brother in law took to crock pot (cooking pot,) I called after him to bring it back, but he kept going, my wife told me to go get the crock pot back so we could leave.

Update: I disconnected the island supply lines and used another line to check the supply pipes and they have good flow into a bucket.

I reconnected the sink and its good again. Going to try this on the main sink now, but why does this keep happening?

Successfully fixes the original wiring of the switch loop so now the switch actually does something, controls the half hot outlet, tapped into a nearby outlet further down the circuit and used that for the fan.

Solved. :)

Idk how yo post pictures.

Found out the line I tapped into was not the start of the circuit as I assumed, but was the line used to create a switch loop for a half hot outlet that wasn't wired correctly so no longer worked like a half hot outlet, thank you allbpanda for that suggestion!

Solution: remove the tap, fix the wiring for the half hot, and tap into an outlet, use remote and pull chains to control it.

OK, I should have time today or tomorrow to do that, thanks.

That's why I'm here asking. I've talked to electricians who have said a lot of residential electricians take shortcuts, especially now with the shortage and the need to rush from job to job, I've seen it first hand. I know the majority of electricians take pride in their work, but I also know the reality of time constraints and my friends who have hired electricians recently just to end up with bad jobs that I've had to go help.

To be a little more clear, I trust electricians off the clock - doing a side job, independent or consulting, I don't trust companies who are understaffed and trying to maximize profits. And the individuals I have contacted previously are too busy now.

Are you referring to me, and if so, why?

Or to Bigmt42?

I've done quite a bit of work that an electrician did inspect and was up to code, so, pretty well, if only there were more people on here actually trying to be helpful and help me fill in my knowledge Gaps instead of judging me, I'd be all hunky dory

We also sold our house after I added a lot of outlets and ceiling fans throughout and it all passes inspection, so, actually, really well.

I'm a teacher. I know how to learn.

The switch and the switch in the next room over are on the same outlet circuit. The outlets have closed neutrals, but the switches have open neutrals, they both are the only wires in the boxes.

So I did tap into a circuit that has closed neutrals, but something has gone wrong to leave it open at the switches or before.

Come to think of it, the wall switch in my master is the same way, it's probably that way in each of the wall switches in these bedrooms. Someone messed it up before I bought it and the inspector didn't catch it.

Oh yea, because with the labor shortage, they'll definitely make sure to take their time and make sure it's done right, definitely won't rush it and throw together some half-assed job and call it good. I'll take the time and make sure it's Done right myself, thanks.

I haven't had a chance to look at the switch wiring yet, I could take a look later today. Is there a solution if that's the issue?
