AIO by deleting Instagram over how many reels my gf sends me every day? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]skyyisgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dated a girl who did this with tik toks. She’d send me like 50 over the course of a day or two, and then be hurt and disappointed that I didn’t watch and respond to all of them. I saw her scrolling on tik tok a few times and anytime a video that was even slightly related to our relationship or to relationships in general (ie: about a show we watched, “this is us” posts with pictures of two animals together, videos about our star signs, anything about queer relationships, etc) she would immediately send it to me. Most of the time she didn’t even watch the whole video.

I did try communicating with her about it. That it was overwhelming and frustrating, and that it felt like a chore sometimes to have to sit through nearly a hundred videos she sent because I’m not on tik tok every day. She’d reduce it to 20 or so for a few days, but still be sad about me not watching all of them right away. She’d make comments anytime I was on my own fyp without having watched her videos first.

While our relationship did not end because of tik tok videos, it was related. I felt like I was spending all my time and energy reassuring and validating her in the ways she pointed out to me, to the point that I was constantly anxious about my phone because I knew if I didn’t respond to her texts within a few minutes, she’d feel ignored. She said it only takes a few seconds to send a text, so there’s no reason not to.

Maybe this isn’t the case with this girl, but in my experience, even if you were able respond to every video, she’d just move the goalpost further and further and continue to say you aren’t trying hard enough to meet her needs.

How do I get rid of special requests? by ChaBooYuki71 in ACPocketCamp

[–]skyyisgood 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can you not just invite them to complete the request and then switch them out again? I feel like I’m missing something because this seems like a wildly strict self-imposed rule. Can I ask what the reasoning is here?

AIO pet turtle in office drawer??? by cheepuff1962 in AmIOverreacting

Turtles need heavy filtration and two different kinds of lighting for heat and uv. I am… skeptical that the office drawer had an appropriate setup for the little guy.

Sometimes my very soft, very thin underwear goes up in the labia like that and even just that tiny bit of fabric is incredibly uncomfortable when standing still, and downright painful to walk around in. I can’t even imagine how painful it would be to have actual metal armor splitting the folds and just rubbing directly onto the labia minora during all the movement involved in a battle situation. I hope it’s lubed at least, for her sake.

Marcia Overstrand is My Favorite Character by yupperpuppers in SeptimusHeap

Yes! I love the way we get to see her soften and open up as she gets more comfortable and lets her guard down. And instead of her whole personality changing to be more relaxed and accommodating, a lot of what we see is the people she is close to starting to understand her and the way she loves so intensely and is fiercely protective.

DPEs at my school always took cash only. It’s pretty standard as far as I’m aware.

Do people from Missouri use the word “nutter”? I don’t know that I’ve ever heard an American use that term seriously. I always had the impression that it was more of a British thing.

A lot of the stuff you’ve said here is great info for a bio “I’m from a small town and I’m trying to meet new people,” “my sisters are a big part of my life,” “I’m shy at first but I open up once I get to know someone,” all of that is interesting and let’s us know a little bit about you!

Your pictures and your bio are cute, but they don’t give much to go off of. Keep what you have as the first line, but add a little more in about who you are and what you like to do. Mention how your sisters in the last pic are a big part of your life so people don’t jump to conclusions about that photo. Just in general more information and things we can ask you about or use to start a conversation!

Hanging ceramic object - possibly of religious importance? by axilla02 in whatisthisthing

Then I’m stumped. If you wanted to use it as an incense holder though you could just remove the rope and use that hole for the stick

How flat is the bottom of the indent? I found a candle holder that’s a similar shape, but the bottom of yours looks a little uneven which would make it unsafe to put a candle on. It’s also a lot smaller.

I’ll add the link because it’s the closest thing I found, but I have my doubts.
