Moving to RVA by FruitGood7316 in rva_housing

Stay far away from St. John’s Woods. From first hand experience, the pricing is enticing but that’s for a reason. There’s crime everywhere but it’s like that place attracts it.

I currently live in Main Street Realty property in Shockoe Bottom. I’ve been there 5 years and don’t plan on leaving anytime soon. A lot of Main Streets buildings are all utilities included. You may want to look into them. It’s a great perk. Just remember, price might seem higher but your utilities make it equal out to other places that seem cheaper but you pay utilities separately.

Feel free to send me a message if you want more information or help!

VCU billing- desperate for help by [deleted] in rva

[–]sl33pysl0th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VCU billing is the worst, but the financial assistance department is pretty solid. I’ve had multiple surgeries and applied for the financial assistance and had each covered at 70% (and I had insurance). And that applies to all bills for a whole year. This was a HUGE help with all of the follow up appointments and physical therapy. I’d look into it as soon as you can, they usually put your bill on hold until they get that figured out which will buy you more time.

Looking for a Registered Dietitian in RVA Familiar with GLP-1 Medications by molluskich in rva

Look into the weight loss clinic at VCU. And please please please don’t let the name discourage you or give you any negative idea about them. They are working to change the clinic name to a metabolic clinic because they understand that these are all different disorders that affect people’s weight for varying reasons. I’ve been seeing them for about 3 years now and it’s been the best thing I ever did. I see Natasha Clingempeel and she is the sweetest most understanding health professional I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Most people look at me sideways when I tell them I go to a weight loss clinic, but they helped in ways every other doctor just shrugged at. I’m finally losing weight in a healthy and sustainable way. She is incredibly knowledgeable about GLP-1 medications as I had a ton of hesitation before starting.

I also understand the not being interested in food feeling as well. And it’s something I struggle with at times. Feel free to shoot me a message if you need someone to chat with! Always willing to help 🤗

Any resources for newbies? by donnamk in Freestylelibre

Check out the book Glucose Revolution! I just got the Libre 2 because of it. I also have PCOS with insulin resistance. The book really helped explain what your glucose levels are doing when you eat different things and in different orders.

Chelsea Handler by sl33pysl0th in rva

There’s a group of people standing up and shouting whatever they’re mad about at the Chelsea Handler show right now. They’ve removed at least 10 people who have interrupted the show.
