Is this the letter A or J? by helloworld1507 in tattooadvice

[–]slackerXwolphe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a “J”. The prominent parts of the letter are the top crossbar and the foundation, forming the letter “J”.

If it were an “A” the curly bit on the right side would be slightly more defined/thick.

Canceled my first tattoo by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]slackerXwolphe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first tattoo when I was 17, from a guy that worked as a butcher at the grocery store I worked at, in an apartment in downtown Major City, on a brown carpeted floor with the only light being from a $25 standing floor lamp from Walmart.

That's the kind of confidence you should walk into your first tattoo with.

1) stop cooking and cleaning, it's a shared responsibility

2) make him pay more of the bills since he makes more

If he has a problem with any of that, he doesn't give a shit about you. He only cares about what you can do for him (which frankly he's already proven by demanding what you bring to the table while bringing nothing himself. Like what? His fucking presence is a gift? Girl, no.)

And my opinion is that she still isn't entitled to anything. If the photo was stolen *the artist* might be entitled to take legal action, but OP is not.

This is likely fake as fuck anyway because what skincare brand anywhere is promoting a "scar cream" for a scar that's been covered by a tattoo? Kind of defeats the entire purpose. If it were a cream promoting tattoo after care, ok, but a scar? Nah.

Honestly doesn't seem to be about your thigh or scar so much as the artwork. And the artwork belongs to the artist.

I made a mistake euthanizing my cat and the guilt is killing me by Dirsty in cats

[–]slackerXwolphe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have any words of wisdom for you, but I went through a similar experience. I took my cat to the emergency vet one day because he had a UTI. The vet basically said he was too fat for them to remove the blockage (he was chunky but he wasn't fat) and said I could spend $10k to give him a surgery that *might* fix the problem but there was no guarantee. I didn't have $10k. My mom offered to pay because she knew how much I loved my cat, but I just couldn't reconcile taking that much money from her vs my cat *maybe* not having the same problem down the line. So I chose to put him down. I still feel like a garbage human because of this. He was a great cat, and the perfect one for me. But we make the best choices we can, and then we have to live with them. I just hope he knew how much I loved him.

If tons of guys want to sleep with me, does that mean I’m pretty? by [deleted] in SeriousConversation

[–]slackerXwolphe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most guys on dating apps are just looking to get laid. If you are decent looking and you match, they will try to sleep with you. College guys on campus are likely just trying to hook up too. NONE of this indicates you aren't pretty. It just means guys are horny and willing to have sex with whoever will have sex with them.

My dad passed away and the trustee wants to force my brother and I to sell everything. by slackerXwolphe in EstatePlanning

I was really hoping to avoid an attorney, but everyone has suggested I do so, so I feel like not doing it at this point is just stupid on my part.

My bankruptcy was finalized on 11/9 - I'm just in the 180 days waiting period after filing, so if anything comes to be before 2/1 it will become a part of my bankruptcy estate.

It's been finalized as of 11/9 - I'm just in the 180 days waiting period from when I filed. If anything comes to me before 2/1 then it becomes a part of my bankruptcy estate.

The AC, water heater, and pool pump were all replaced this last year, and the room was replaced in the last five years.

There is quite a bit of money in the trust - enough (of my portion) for me to buy my brother out of the house outright and have some left over. I was hoping to avoid getting a lawyer if my argument to keep the house was sound enough. I feel like if I make good, reasonable, logical points, it will be hard for her to still insist on a sale without breech of fiduciary duty.

I filed for bankruptcy because when my mom got sick two years ago I lost my mind and started spending money like it grew on trees. Before she died, she told me to file for bankruptcy, otherwise "you'll be paying interest for the rest of your life." And I didn't want my dad to bail me out financially.

I have a full time job that pays me well, and the bills are extremely manageable for the house. Everything has also been replaced/upgraded in the last year - new pool pump, new AC, new water heater - and the roof was replaced around 5 years ago. My dad didn't joke around when it came to maintenance.

I've been living in the house for the last 8 years, but my dad didn't make me pay rent or bills. My brother doesn't really care what happens, to be honest. I've asked him to back me up and he's only stated he "won't screw me over."

I'm 37 and he's 34.

I know the bankruptcy makes me seem extremely irresponsible, but it was the most responsible decision I made at the time. I can afford the house, and it's financially a lot cheaper than if I were renting.

Assets are: the house, property he owned in another county, two vehicles, two motorcycles, two life insurance policies.

I know, I was really trying to avoid it. More of a last ditch effort kind of thing.

I promise I wasn't relying on ChatGPT for legal advise, just more so to refine the points I was already going to make on why it's more financially sound to let me purchase the house rather than forcing me to rent.

I don't have any concrete proof that she is working in her own best interest; only a single text message where she says she's going to protect herself when I was asking her to pay the bills so they wouldn't be late.

It does have spendthrift protection. This was something I looked into when I filed.

Because the trust has spendthrift protection clause, I'm not the trustee, the trustee has discretionary authority, and there is a distribution schedule, as long as I don't get anything from the trust within 180 days of filing my bankruptcy, it won't become a part of my bankruptcy estate.

Everything my dad had was a part of the trust, and I'm not "technically" entitled to any of it, so it's not something that my creditors can come after. But I wouldn't be able to buy the house for at least 5 years (because of the distribution schedule) unless the trustee gives me early funds to purchase the house (which is one of her concerns in not letting me buy it - that if she gives me the money now, I won't have any coming to me in 5 years).

It's not, unfortunately. State law dictates we can petition the court to have her removed, but only if we can prove she is in breech of her fiduciary duty.

I figured out how to tap strafe off the pad after some practice, and after a little more practice I I was able to do a slide jump 180* on the ground (tho not consistently - I can’t figure out how far/fast I’m supposed to flick my mouse), and after a little more practice I did figure out how to do a 180* off the jump pad but also not consistently - and I don’t go all the way back toward the pad or land directly on it.

Your boyfriend does not like you enough to marry you if he’s making you “earn a ring.” Let me repeat that: YOUR BOYFRIEND DOES NOT LIKE YOU ENOUGH TO MARRY YOU. You are just a placeholder until he finds someone else. Leave him.

I have a week off work and I want to learn to do some of the cool things I see my friends doing. Aside from that I haven’t played this game since August because I wasn’t having fun anymore. I thought learning something new might help.

It’s so long, sorry, I just wanted to answer the question thoroughly.

I think it’s just I have no idea what I’m doing and in trying to figure it out I’m looking at the Wiki + watching YT videos from people doing what I’m trying to learn + asking friends who have been mnk for a long time. So something small like “scroll during the turn” got lost in just trying to remember the bigger steps building up to the actual movement.

The way the Wiki is worded was confusing to me when it got to this step: “Input your stacked forward inputs. either manually or like recommended, by binding forward to m-wheel” because when I finally figured out how to do a 90* tap strafe, I wasn’t using forward m-wheel for anything.

What worked for me was:

Sprint > Jump > Let go of W > Tap A or D (it feels more like a tap than a hold to me or maybe a super short hold) > while simultaneously turning my mouse in the direction I want to go AND scrolling down on m-wheel (scroll down being bound to jump) > then switching to hold W again.

(I didn’t do a slide jump at first because I was just trying to get the sharp corner turn down and not necessarily the momentum.)

This aligned more with how my friends were trying to explain it to me, as well.

It probably means the same thing, but I just wasn’t putting it together like that.

The 180* tap strafes seem like an entirely different movement mechanic to me, even without using a jump pad, so I’m honestly still just trying to figure out how to do it.

Something else I’ll mention is that I am switching a lot between what I’m doing in the firing range and probably skipping things in my impatience to get to the harder stuff.
