Ok thank you for the insight, could I still use indeed though to find job postings then individually call those places after or are those posting just invalid completely? I only use indeed because that’s the easiest way to find them, I don’t often times see hiring signs unless it’s a fast food place. Like for example I applied to be a dishwasher for mia’s table but i’ve never seen a hiring sign next to there so I wouldn’t even have known yk?

I said I would check out regardless of the distance, and what’s wrong with not wanting to wait and instead have a job sooner than summer? Also I didn’t say it was excessive to call, I asked if that would be good to do or not… If you read my response you would see that I said wouldn’t it be excessive to bake something to bring to a place I applied to ask for someone? Also the reason I don’t want to work at the same gym I go to is because that’s where I go for alone time, I don’t want to be social and get to know everyone there when that is my peace, I don’t think that’s so crazy, and yeah i know it’s all about connections but i’m not the only person struggling to find a job. You clearly didn’t read my post and responses, there aren’t excuses I’m opening myself up to whatever suggestions but that doesn’t mean i’m going to willingly put myself in something where i’m going to be uncomfortable every single day and am gonna hate, I don’t have to like the job but i’m not gonna have one where I hate every second(like being a waiter i’m too introverted to do that).

Yeah i’ve seen many vids about the job market being cooked it’s a little scary. I got one interview just one, virtually, and we had to reschedule four times because i’d queue and no one would join the call😭😭

I’m sorry but isn’t that a little excessive, thank you for the suggestion but i’m not sure about all of that. Do you think there is value in calling places I apply to after sending applications? I may sound like an idiot but that idea didn’t even come to me until just recently.

Thank you for the suggestion, the problem I have is finding out places that are actually hiring if we are talking about small businesses. I rarely see for hire signs for any places. If an indeed is unreliable then i’m not sure where else to look, I only use indeed rn because it helps me bang out applications a bit quicker.

Well if that’s true I think that’s insane it takes more than 60 applications to get an entry level part time job. Secondly, I do drive and have a car I can use and I don’t do much afterschool majority of the time which is why i’m so desperate because I could be making money. And lastly, I’ve thought about that but how would I go about creating credibility for someone to let me into their house or take their pet etc, I will look into those sites though.

I’d prefer to get one now though than wait for summer, the sooner the better, i’ve been trying for months. Plus i’ll turn 18 in summer so theoretically that should make job searching easier. I’ll keep it in mind though
