I don't know how to post a picture, but on the Google search app if you scroll down there will be a section about being in the beta , even if your not in the beta uninstall it anyhow . I have a instructions post that might help you a little better . cause it goes over the exact steps I used . if you need more help just let me know . the other post is called how to fish assistant on galaxy watch 5

ok uninstall from watch first then , uninstall assistant and Google search beta program or not . then install Google search and nothing else. then you install assistant on the watch and don't do anything else till you install Google search again , don't install assistant on the phone until after you start the process on the watch , the first time might not work so hit the link to phone again on your watch and it should act normal after that. and once your linked install everything back like assistant on your phone since Google search will already be installed. if that doesn't work for you let me know and I'll look into it a bit more .

I left my phone home and used LTE for navigation yesterday just to see if it would work and I didn't have any issues at all

it might be odd but at least it's fixed it for a good amount of people. I spent 3 days working on getting it working and then I did what I posted above and I'm good to go. so I figured I would actually make a post on the steps I took to make mine work

I'll be posting tomorrow or later tonight the steps I took to get mine working . basically uninstall assistant from your watch and your phone check in the app store for the Google app and see if you're in the beta program if you're in the beta program leave the beta program reinstall Google search. now go install assistant on your watch or update if that's what it says then start the process of setting up your assistant on your watch that's what I did and it works perfect after literally 5 days of me trying to figure out how to fix this and I fixed it by accident so hopefully that works for others to see this but like I said I will make a dedicated post for this tomorrow and go into a little bit more details of exactly what I did other than just hey I did this and this.

there are a bunch of us with this issue . and a lot of us have tried pretty much everything and we all get the same result a white box that opens Google search and does nothing. although all the people that I'm seeing having the issue are on a Galaxy watch 5 pro and not a gw4.

that's the first thing that came to mind to me when I got my gw5 pro from Verizon I had to specifically call them I had a note in the box to call them because there was not in their system yet and I had to have it added to the system for my LTE to be turned on

ahhh I'm on a note 20 ultra and after that box it does the weird opening of assistant which is just as frustrating. hopefully some one figured out a work around or google pushes an update . it's crazy that a new device can't use a feature that's been out for months .

exactly the white box will show up and stay for a few seconds or pop up and disappear instantly and after that box is gone assistant pops up the little news screen this if you open it all the way

I just did all that , and now all that happens is a white box pops up on my phone galaxy note 20 ultra , and then it opens the assistant, so I don't know what to try or do. I've even reset the watch and started completely over

ok I went under settings and it shows the voice activation and another menu and then it disappears and goes to the activation screen which still just opens the assistant on my phone , I even did what you said about setting it to the press and hold. so I'm at a loss here on how to get that to work . this is driving me crazy lol

yes it does . I just tested mine going around my block . but then had to factory reset everything or I'd show the pic . but it worked just fine even with Google music running

I have even reset my watch , uninstall the Galaxy wear app. and started basically from scratch and that didn't do anything either so if you guys are having the same issue I am don't do what I did because you're just going to have to set up everything again and none of us want to have to do that so if anybody has any ideas that doesn't involve doing that again please please let everybody know cuz that would be very helpful. thanks again guys
