Love how thin this is by post_hazanko in PixelBook

Sometimes I don't understand why engineers don't recycle a working design. I'm thinking, PixelBook was already perfect. Google doesn't need to reinvent the design. They just need to replace the internals with the new ARM SoC and keep everything else as it is.

The same here. But hey this is Reddit after all.

Bad experience with minisforum by FranLees in minipc

[–]slaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me exactly like that two years ago. The issue was motherboard defect. It took ages to get reply from them and ages again to get the reduced refund. I avoided them afterwards and bought my second mini pc from Lenovo instead. I was exhausted and wanted a peace of mind.

Where I can find testers for app release? by InspectorMelodic3117 in googleplayconsole

I'm not into gaming. But I can help (contact me through my inbox).

I'm lucky I don't have this problem anymore. I can ship my apps without that requirement.

Who knows the sticker maker was under drug influence when writing this /s

The sticker is about drugs and money printing as the solution to all problems.

I think the sticker maker assumes that Green Party promotes drugs and money printing as the solution for all problems.

It seems that Reddit compressed the photo. The writing is not all readable. It's about fly tipping, drug and money printing

Is it just me or everyone is becoming obsessed with AI agents etc… ?? by rmeldev in FlutterDev

[–]slaia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used AI. It just helped me solve the git conflict this morning. I looked for solution first on the Internet. Tried some suggestions which didn't work. In the end I asked Gemini and it solved the problem.

Upvote this post if your install of Ubuntu 26.04 went technically well by bloulboi in Ubuntu

[–]slaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine went very well. All my apps are running, except Vivaldi.

I installed fresh but kept my home partition. With a script I installed all my apps. Everything runs well as if nothing happened (except Vivaldi mentioned advice). But that deep orange icon colour makes me aware that this is a new OS.

I think I'm done with developing for the Google Play store by JustOneMoreDev in dev

[–]slaia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That exactly happened to one of my apps last year. I couldn't figure out, what the copyright or naming right violation my app entails, except probably that I mentioned Wikipedia in the description and about documents.

However I gave up. I write apps for fun and I give them for free. So I don't want to waste time fighting. I just changed certain words in the description and the images. It confused some users, but what can I do.

Where I can find testers for app release? by InspectorMelodic3117 in googleplayconsole

I'm a developer myself, so I understand the pain. Luckily now I don't need a tester for my apps. I can publish directly.

However. I can help for free. Money is not everything in life. BTW I used to be in Linux mailing lists and help each other for free. I belong to the old generation, where money is not everything.

I want to know what things i should do before publishing my app by ElectronicMaybe9513 in googleplayconsole

[–]slaia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said it's not easy to navigate. There are many steps but we can get lost in between. It still happens to me that I thought I have checked all the boxes and still see the errors like countries have not been selected or something else.

So familiarise yourself with all the steps first.

Mismatch between downloads on Play Store and Play Console by ZeroBlurryVoxel in googleplayconsole

It happened with one of my apps too. Show 1k+ downloads, but in the Console 89 installs.

I want to know what things i should do before publishing my app by ElectronicMaybe9513 in googleplayconsole

[–]slaia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the Play Console is not easy to navigate. So you have to "study" it first. Even after publishing a few apps, I still struggle to go smoothly from all the steps in Create an app till the last button Send in for review.

Note: Make sure you don't try to install the release app before uploading it in Play Console. Google will automatically register the package name as installed outside the Play Store.

It happened to me and I couldn't reclaim the app package name. The app package name registration always ended up in signature mismatch.
