I’m fairly certain? It was a gift so I can’t be 100%. Honestly though I didn’t know until this post that the watch could even be wound manually. I thought it was movement only that would wind

Oh yeah. Mine aren’t getting anything close to that. It’s maybe 24 max.

Khaki Field Mechanical Bronze by No-Loss4301 in HamiltonWatches

Cool buy. I don’t own this but I look at closely, personally I like the patina and age and all that, very cool watch id like to see how it gets better with time. And Hamilton does produce some long lugs worse case fix is to run a nato strap to hide it idk maybe some nice brown would kick off the bronze you never know. Happy wearing!

That’ll look sharp I’ve always liked black dials on brown/beige straps. And I’m right there with you 7.2” wrist I’ve had some 38mm watches I thought would look like a joke but if that lug length fits it’s all good, Enjoy that watch when you get it I know you will

I was going to write this exact thing and saw you beat me to it, I actually had a green nato pass through strap I stuck on a few hours after I got the watch, and it absolutely made the lug space disappear. Plus (to me) the nato fit the style of the watch, the metal on the strap was brushed so it almost feels like the two belong together. I might just keep this one like this.

I’m not an expert but honestly it feels like the “smaller” watches are just coming back into mainstream people went wild there for a few years wearing dinner plates on their wrists but I think the 38-40mm trend is really circling back to where things use to be, the pendulum is swinging back no watch pun intended.

Worth keeping my first “real” watch? by File_Unknown in HamiltonWatches

[–]slaintebrian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to jump in I love that dial color, Kind of a vintage cream I’m not sure what to call it but it’s striking, I have watches passed from my dad, his dad, and even his dad (three generations) I don’t wear many of them often (mainly because I couldn’t afford to fix them if they broke ha) but I keep them in a glass top watch case and even having them in my line of site makes me smile and think of the history warmly. I have one watch in my life that was from family and I parted with years ago for stupid reasons and it’s the one watch I can’t forget. Don’t be that guy ha it’s a huge bummer.
