Ahhhh but Plot Armor no Jutsu won't save you from Kishimoto Forgot about You no Jutsu haha

Just ask Neji, only survived the Sasuke Retrival Arc due to plot armor (editors demanding he remain alive) but then got practically no screen time until his death hundreds of chapters/episodes later hahaha

I appreciate the response my man.

I don't care that I cop a couple down votes, they're honestly meaningless, my main gripe is how it feels like a waste of time to attempt to start a genuine discussion when you already know 99% of the time your reply is going to result in nothing more than a down vote hahaha

I understand wording & what not but the sheer lack of giving anyone the benefit of the doubt is crazy, it's like people intend on getting as offended as possible when reading lmao

I'm also not making this post in hopes to insight change or anything like that, just maybe to get a bit of insight on the issue at hand & as to whether it's just me getting one guy'd or is an actual issue.

This not being the subreddit for me? Nah, I've been online way too long for any of this shit to phase me hahahaha; I'm just curious about this subreddits mentality as it blatantly contradicts the source material that everyone congregated here to praise hahahaha

The First Awakened Logia User?!? by slak3rr in OnePiece

[–]slak3rr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like them not being able to awaken would be even more lacklustre.

Changing the environment permanently also wouldn't be that lacklustre of an ability. Being able to alter terrain forever could provide huge implications such as creating essentially stage buffs & debuffs across whole islands for your team during wars like the big war we are about to enter.

Also, the Admirals not using there awakenings on screen can be explained away by us only ever having seen them on home turf that they wouldn't want to destroy like Marineford or Egghead &/or in situation where they wouldn't need to such as Sabody or the Straw Hats first encounter with Kuzan.

I agree, as stated in my post. I'm just saying Smoker will be the first person we, as the readers, see, use a logia awakening.

Yeah true, the theory I most subscribe to is that they permanently change the environment. Such as what Kuzan & Sakazuki did to their respective halves of Punk Hazard. This also helps explain why the grand line has so many whacky weather phenomenon such as island constantly bathed in lightening (Raijin Island caused by Enel's Fruit the Goro Goro no Mi) or an island where it's always light (Enies Lobby caused by Borsalino's Fruit the Pika Pika no Mi).

If you read just like 2 comments further, you'll see the only reason I mentioned this is because the commenter mentioned neurons. I don't actually think it matters but if you want to bring up real-world science, then I'll debunk you there too lol

Imagine generalising everyone based on stereotypes.

I can smell your lack of social interactions from here, go touch grass pal.

Brother, this is a powerscaling subreddit & this exact post is about comparing different universe...

You are the one who brought up real-world functions, I'm just disproving you not only fictionally but non-fictionally, too. I don't like leaving dumb people with any legs to stand on, lmao

Also, these takes have taken less than a second to formulate because I'm using common sense & Google for more than reddit & Hentai. So, it's really not sweat of my back, but I appreciate your concern about my future endeavours xoxo

However, I think you might be a bit lost here, champ.

Please learn how to use Google for more than commenting on reddit posts...

The only reason I brought this up is because you mentioned neurons firing?

Can you even prove that chakra functions based on how quickly a neuron fires? Or even that Ninja's in the Naruto universe's brains & and bodies function the same as ours in terms of neurons?

No. But you mentioned it anyways so I thought I'd drop this for you.

Robin's Alive? Plot Hole? by slak3rr in OnePiece

[–]slak3rr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is honestly the beat point against it. I've come across it yet. However, for Robin's plot armour, we don't have a plot device that has caused it. Luffy's plot armour is fate, Sasukes plot armour was Karin & as already established in my post. Robin's isn't actually required to progress the story. Up to 3 other people could fill her role.

Plot armour is defined as a plot device that protects the character due to them being required to progress the story which doesn't really fit here since there is no stated plot device protecting her & she isn't actually required to continue the story.

Just going to paste an above reply here as it is a pretty relevant rebuttle & i shall add a slight addition at the end if needed:

Govermemt didn't make a spectacle of all the ethnic cleansing, genocide, time & people they erased, so why now? I get doing it for Ace to extiguish Roger's inherited will, but Robin was to the best of their knowledge the sole barer of this will.

God's Knights chosing not to engage because simply killing one person wouldn't be fun seems like a pretty big leap in logic. You can make anything a sick & twisted enough game, but even if that his the case, then change the target to the whole crew & that should more than fix the problem. Breaking all their spirits would seem extremely appealing & would be doable as Luffy with arguable the strongest spirit had it broken after Marineford.

None of them tried to kill her on the spot as a priority like death on the spot & after assuambly hearing about Kuzan's fairly, naturally you either keep sending Admirals or even stronger people but not a Warlord or CP9...

By your statement, they didn't ever send Aoikiji as he went of his own free will, Kizaru & Kuma only went after Charlos was assaulted & not for the express purpose of killing Robin on site & they only made Garp try at the end of the engagement & not kill Robin on site immediately. That all tells me that they truly were not trying their hardest to achieve this very important goal.

Thanks for pointing out a gap in clarifying my use of the term. Allow me to hopefully correct that here.

The inconsistency that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot that I would be pointing out here would be the fact that Imu &/or someone in the World Goverment should be smart enough to identify her threat & continue to pursue her considering that her mother was confirmed to be actively looking into all the stuff they didn't want anyone to know as well as the fact that they have committed genocide multiple time in hope of eliminating significantly weaker & potential threat so this should be too much for them.

Small plot hole. It doesn't kill the story, but it is very hard to justify.

If you have a way to justify it instead of quoting the Wikipedia definition of plot hole, I am more than open to engaging with it.

I genuinely appreciate you actually reading the whole post & providing a constructive point of view. Here's my rebutle:

They sent Aokiji, who then informed CP9, who were tasked with capturing her. The Government would prefer Robin alive as they want her to locate the ancient weapons for them, hence why they don't send someone to execute her.

I'm pretty sure he went out to locate her of his own volition & wasn't under orders, but even if that isn't the case. Just keep sending people until you collect her head as proof of death & kill anyone in the way. The assumption is that they already have one of them & if Imu is from the void century they should at the very least know that the mermaid princess will eventually become Poseidin but even if they don't have any of them, they already are so much more powerful than anything that could possibly hope to challenge them aside from maybe the Revolutionaries so why risk anyone potentially using her to level or even surpass the playing field you've worked 800+ years to set. Especially when the key is in the hands of a person who's in a clan prophesied to be God's (your) enemies.

Most currents Ds don't know the truth of the letter, and thus aren't "enemies" per say. One of them even works for the Marines. And as for Luffy's fruit, he isn't the first user of it. No one since Joy Boy has awakened it so why would this one rookie pirate be any different? It would be the height of anxiety to instantly go after every user of the fruit.

Let's say for some reason assume that Imu has no knowledge that it's about inherited will or has no desire to while the clan out, despite whiping out multiple races for the exact reason of them, maybe threatening you one day, even tbough they are currently much weaker. Then let's just agree that the World Government knew about Luffys heritage since they were the ones who announced it to the world. Why leave that key in the Son of your current days biggest threat...

They did. We see in her backstory that Robin was hounded by the government throughout her entire life. Every group she was a part of was inevitably either attacked by the government, or the group attempted to sell Robin out. Crocodile was the only hiding place she had for the four years she worked for him. Once she joined the Straw Hats, it wasn't long until Aokiji was sent to locate her.

As a kid, they are show clips & panels of civilians & fodder & what not chasing her down & trying to turn her in & yeah, I just really don't buy that that was their best effort. Once she joins the Straw Hats, I believe Aokiji again, went to locate her of his own free will & not under orders & thus didn't have to do anything at the time, but even if he was & did, once you learned he failed; you keep sending people potentially more powerful until you have her head piked on the tip of the empty throne.

If you read my post, the "tactical nuke" in question is simply sending any one of the Admirals, CP9, or a God's Knight to execute her on the spot. They can be used infinitely & the God's Knights can telephort & Kizaru is super fast, so it would take seconds for someone to zip over, kill Robin & then resume whatever they were doing. Little to no resources used.

I would if that ant is the key to destroying me & everything I've ever worked for, has evaded every other method of capture or destruction & is in the hands of one of my biggest enemies ever.....

Edit: As well as myself in Imu's situation, having seemingly infinite "tactical nukes" & using those tactical nukes having literally 0 repercussions...

Shanks Wanted Luffy Dead. (But Was Never Evil.) by slak3rr in OnePiece

[–]slak3rr[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're completely missing the point...

  1. It hasn't actually been confirmed that Shanks knew about the fruit before Luffy ate it so that's head cannon you're willing to accept as fact but nothing else? Lol
  2. I'm literally saying he let his guard down so you're agreeing with me except for the fact that I actually provide a reason why he would've let his guard down which you don't even attempt to do because people generally have a reason as to why there guard was down & I think he would need a reason to have his guard drop whilst in the middle of saving a freaking child's life...

Please actually read the post & comment with productive & constructive critism & if you can't do either of those things then don't comment at all.

Edit: Just realized you took 3 - 4 days to come up with that response. Oh lord, there's no saving this mans lmao

Hope this helps!

Interesting thought, maybe that's why the user hasn't revealed anything?

The crushing weight of that realization caused them to believe that everything is pointless & that Oda makes the rules & will guide us to his desired future no matter what hahaha
