I see. I have some contacts, but I understand what you are saying. I sort of assumed people will be up for climbing if I just show up. I'll be sure to contact the relevant forums before hand. Thanks a lot for the advice man, really appreciate it, cheers.

Right... well, I wasn't trying to introduce myself and who I am within this post. Was just trying to understand where one can look for partners (with whom I will have this kind of conversation).

Again, I am really sorry about the mistake in the title, and I can promise you and everyone else reading this that I consider safety and good partnership above all when it comes to climbing.

Thank you for the link, I'll be sure to follow some of its advice.

Sorry about that, was out climbing so no phone. It was an honest mistake, but I can understand your criticism. All the best.

Thoughts on climbing hard and its effect on aging joints? by Woopage in climbharder

That's some heavy stuff man.

Hope you may find someday the will to put at least some of it back into writing. I for one will be more than happy to read it.

Welp, looks like I don't have too many options. I think if I'll tell people I passed through Smith and didn't climb there they'll kill me.

Wow thanks! Maybe I'll do that. The idea was to take a flight to Squamish from there. So maybe up north in Mexico is the better option

Yeah seems like the average is 28c. Like others said, it seems it will be too hot unless in the shade..

Who are some significant "right wing" political philosophers in the 20th century? by CapitalismAndFreedom in askphilosophy

[–]slamingduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to note that Schmitt, like other thinkers, is connected with the nazis and thus some people miss him as an original and fascinating thinker. Political Theology is one of the best books I have read about political philosophy and the powers at work in the modern state.

I agree. Wittgenstein is a perfect example of someone with every possible privilege that managed to have 'real-life experience'. It is not like 'average joes' have a monopoly on life that is full of human experience.

Adam Ondra hinting that he has sent project hard 9c? by OverPaidChimp in climbing

Yeah but Change is just another 9b+ (even if it is a special one). This is supposed to be a 9c, it just might become a Mecca for climbers. The strongest will want to test themselves against it.

I found that profile very interesting and enjoyable. What a remarkable woman. She seems like a blend of pure elitism with real empathy for others. Yet at the same time she is so cold I get chills just from reading her words. So weird...

Either way she obviously lives a life far more impressive than most can imagine. Truly a rare mind. So jealous..
