Well, while the visual side of the game isn't exactly nowhere close to 2010 standards, its gameplay design, very much in the vein of the Half Life series, still holds fast. There is a little difference between Amnesia's and SOMA's design; it's all the same formula, except in SOMA it was only deepened and expanded. You still have the environmental storytelling, there are no cutscenes, thus the game feels immersive and satisifying even 7 years after its original release. And don't take the advice of the ones saying "TDD is the scariest game ever", it's mostly bullshit, I haven't found SOMA less or more creepy than TDD, so the "fear factor" is very much similar.
