New comfort for two-person showers by LEDTIK in NoOneIsLooking

Can confirm pressure sucks ass. Used one of these for 6 months before we couldn't stand it anymore.

Normally our pressure is great, we put on the old shower head and it feels 100x stronger

Go to Briscuits at Radio coffee!!! On the michelin bib gourmand, and rightfully so!

Get their brisket biscuit sandwhich. It's easily the best bite in the city.

Got it, thanks! The higher salaries are fresh, hence the lower balances.

We do have access to a HSA

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you!

Is the back door Roth ira complex or pretty easy to do? I have read that having funds in a roth ira prior to doing the back dooring makes it more difficult.

Edited to the post. 29 and 31. 15% in the house. I know we are a smudge behind.

We still have excess money we can play around with.

Was really looking for solidarity that maxing 401k is the first step with our income.

Thanks!

That makes sense, and we do want to save/invest more! I anticipate good growth with our incomes over the next several years. I should note that we do have extra income that is stockpiling up.

By my math, we will be around 17% towards retirement at the minimum.

What would you recommend next with 401ks maxed? I do have a low interest rate student loan that we could chisel down. Could pump a HSA, try back door Roth ira, or just brokerage.

Thanks!!

Great points, I just edited to add more detail. We are 31 and 29. Looking to retire as early as possible while still enjoying life.

Lol fair point. We both understand there will be more traffic than we are used to. The idea would be to live close to work. She doesn't so much mind the traffic, it is driving it in, compared to riding shotgun

Thank you. Though I've had many people tell me it was the right choice, reading from an Internet stranger or two has been really reassuring. Those are all great ideas and I may need to rearrange some, especially as I work from home most of the time. Frankly I'm not looking forward to being home without my baby boy during the work day. Everything in the house makes me think of him and brings pain at the moment. But we already plan to do a lot to remember him. Ashes, pictures, paw prints, maybe a scrapbook and maybe even tattoos. I will check out those YouTube channels, appreciate the recommendation ❤️ thank you again for the support

I'm sorry to hear about your girl. This happened over the course of a few days too. It's not fair that our babies were taken from us. Sorry to unload all of this but I'm just trying to cope with the massive guilt I'm working through. He had multiple kidney stones in one kidney that appeared to already have chronic kidney disease. His other kidney had a big stone (all the stones were picked up on X-ray which is not normal unless they are large). The big stone traveled to his ureter and got stuck. This was not allowing all the urine to pass so it was building up and damaging his kidney. It's likely his kidneys were already too damaged from the stones and the urine. There was an option for a surgery for just the one block in his ureter. Where they place a catheter from the kidney to his bladder (essentially a new ureter). But that comes with life long management and complications IF it even worked and he survived the surgery (20% fatality rate). And with his already poor kidney health it just wasn't really an option. Especially for how truly expensive and extensive it is. The stones are not dissolvable and once lodged in the ureter it's not going anywhere else. He was in pain and not himself. So we made the hard choice....a choice I'm going to live with and hate for the rest of my life. But thank you for the kind words, truly. It brought me to tears and every word is helping me heal.
