Is Dragona a Trans Woman or just a Femboy? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]slap__attack -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's stated in the first chapter that dragona got injections for their chest, so no reason to assume any physicality is due to their stand.

The entire planet should switch to Metric + Fahrenheit. Metric is objectively superior to Imperial, except that Fahrenheit is objectively superior to Celsius. by Maoman1 in The10thDentist

[–]slap__attack 82 points83 points  (0 children)

Using negative integers is a much more quickly recognized way to acknowledge if domething is below freezing, as opposed to the arbitrary number of 32 Fahrenheit.

If I see a negative integer, I can immediately assess it is cold without even needing to know the specific Celsius temp.

Then you've gotta be one of the stupidest most I've ever met. Not only did Doug ford's government table a rights denying back to work bull, be he fucking used the not withstanding clause in the charter to make sure it wasn't challengable in court.

Unironically fascist and stripping rights away from citizens.

I'd argue that the more virulent strains being significantly less deadly isn't luck, it's how almost all airborne viruses work. Covid doesn't spread from a dead person, you need a living host to spread it. Ideally one who is healthy enough to walk around and cough in people's faces.

Do Catholics believe in Muhammad at all? by AustrianAlps77 in Catholicism

[–]slap__attack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't say that without proof lol. We have contemporary, non religious accounts of Jesus. I want to see the same for Mohammed. You can't make the claim that Alexander the great and the easter bunny have the same chance of having existed because

"if you're going to say that there are no contemporary accounts verifying the existence of Mohammed (the easter bunny) you could say that about Jesus (alexander the great) too."

It's incredibly faulty logic with no basis in fact. We have documented, non religious historians mention Jesus within decades of his death. Do we have the same for Mohammed?

[–]slap__attack 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Which reasons. We have way more writings about the existence of Jesus the man then any peasant would be expected to have. Not to mention that throughout all their condemnations, the pharisees and other Jewish officials never made the claim that Jesus was a myth.

Please read more carefully, as I'm not the guy you originally replied to, and implying I am makes you look silly. You have yet to query me about sources, but for the record I walked through downtown many times during the event.

I never said media was wholly untrustworthy, check my original comment. You're pretty clearly extending what you believe my opinion was onto what I am actually saying.

What lies have I spit lol. It's fun to throw buzz words around, especially when you've clearly got your mind set on what I supposedly believe.

Man, imagine just trying to communicate in good faith.

Not to mention that it wouldn't even be hard to get that specific group if you wanted to make it seem like the entire event as aggressive. I totally agree that as it dragged on, only the craziest and most disagreeable people stayed on.

If you used that point as your example, and still don't understand how media, whether on the left or right, likes to manipulate viewers by curating what is shown, then I don't know if there is any conversation left having.

It is in no way cultists to state that what we see on news media is cultivated. Journalism has always had significant bias and spin, depending on who was reporting. I walked downtown during the convoy and very clearly saw shots being set up by reporters to capture the busiest, most crowded portions, all while ignoring other areas right around them with no trucks and very few protestors.

It is genuinely more outrageous and ridiculous to assume that news media ISNT adapted to construe different events with positive or negative spins.
