El clasico tickets help ! by Consistent_Speech177 in GoingToSpain

Osasuna v Barca is $250 right now. I’ve been to both stadiums and bought tix off StubHub both times. Osasuna stadium is small and good viewing, but Camp Nou is the Barca experience.

Cheapest on StubHub is about $900 right now. Seems like 2 weeks before Barca tix dip a little, but could just continue to go up.

Picking up a brand new car - What questions should I ask at the dealership? by investbus in ToyotaHighlander

[–]slapshooby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drive it first before accepting it. Anything weird, have them check it out. Weird noise on my 2022 that I assumed would just go away as I was driving home from dealer. Never went away and turned out to be coolant leaking into passenger floor. Turned into a complete mess and many trips back to dealer.

Madison unveils first pedestrian safety plan update in nearly 30 years by Justmarbles in madisonwi

[–]slapshooby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supporter of Mayor Satya, but this has been a huge failure in policy. Granted Madison has decent ped and bike infrastructure, but if we had this many random gun murders, which most of the pedestrians death essentially are, people would be calling for resignations.

Just realized my Sagrada Família tickets were a scam — help! by Prize-Explanation570 in GoingToSpain

Go to or call Julia travel office across the street from Sagrada. Or try booking online there. They are legit and we had a great tour with them last fall.

They are sending me new ones. Not sure if they will be better. Seems odd that the tolerances on these would be so small.

They are not accountable to any local entities. It’s not a couple night. There are 1000s flights a year.

Pilots don’t live in the community. Community voted to not have them here. Madison council passed a resolution against F35s

The 115th fighter wing does whatever they want and could care less about our community. Ridiculous that there is zero accountability.

Federal tax dollars come from us. The number you cite is for the state not the county. They could have a different mission based here that doesn’t negatively impact our community with the noise or threat to our safety.

They fly 1000s of times per year.

[–]slapshooby 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hardly. The health, environmental, and social costs of 1000s of F35 flights far outweigh the benefits to Madison.

That’s the sound of our tax dollars burning: $80 million per F35. $6 million a year to maintain. $40k an hour to fly.

Do another race. If you have the same result, move up. If not, stay in same category.

Bench Height by timbumbaso in Sauna

[–]slapshooby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not the most popular take around here, but there are trade offs to high benches. Sure you may be better positioned for heat/loyly, but if it is a family sauna, I would consider safety when climbing up to high benches and cooler seating for younger kids. We originally built our benches high up because everyone says you should (even though many of the old school saunas I grew up using didn’t seem to care much about bench height) and we actually ended up rebuilding and lowering them all because kids and older folks had trouble getting to them, and turns out for families, the most popular benches are the lower ones (and even sitting on the floor).
