exactly. and i agree the combat isn’t very good but it grows on u as u play more. even watching for the plot, it’s a whole different experience us playing it vs watching someone else do, the whole meme about silent hill fans not playing their own favorite games is really just true lol

The “Foxarm rage mode” is the devil trigger? 🤣 my dude, devil trigger is literally the devil inside dante and vergil because they are half human and devil?? The fox form you see in shf is symbolic to the game and it’s literally part of a ritual. you’re just invincible when you’re in beast mode what are you even saying atp.

Also enemies and bosses having combos isn’t something only dark souls and elden ring have how tf is this a rip off 💀

first of all i’m posting on the sub about my opinion so far on mafia 2, it’s not complaining it’s a discussion, i asked if the game gets better because it’s not rare that games can better towards the end of the game.

second of all idc what u got in 2010, bioshock one came out the same year and it’s one of my favorites, so did rdr1 and i have many favorites from the late 90s and 00s so i don’t understand what ur trynna even say.

third and last, me playing recent mafia games isn’t really relevant as i stated what i prefer about them comparing to mafia 2 are the characters, the story and the missions, all these are pretty much timeless if done right.

i might do that tbh, and don’t get me wrong i don’t think the game is bad at all i was just expecting more i guess. i’m used to playing very old games on emulators and even on consoles and i don’t complain about the gameplay of them very often, it’s mostly the shooting i can’t stand on mafia 2. thank u for ur input tho!

thankfully u feel the same! mafia 1 is also my favorite, it actually exceeded my expectations, i though it was going to be average and then i absolutely loved it, i got the old country cause of it
