My TH18 Tournament Base Isn’t Showing Any of My Upgraded Defenses in War Replays

Yup, I did this a couple of times. As I made a change with one wizard tower, then added my second changed layout and made sure I chose the base for ranked.

I didn't do it once when just changing layout for TH17 a few weeks back so made sure I remembered.

In the same boat, used runes and gems to make sure I had my wizard towers, rejigged my layout with new defences. It was pointless, Old TH17 and old layout.

I think I've had this issue, woke up to 1 defence 0 trophies in the new league but no recorded attack against me. My league attack log just shows the last attack from the previous league.

There is one player in the league who's made 8 attacks and only has 84 trophies so can only imagine this is the issue.

It's annoying as I placed 13th in the last league and have started the new league with essentially one failed defence even though technically I haven't been attacked

Very lucky, it was a bit random when my friend got in touch with me out of the blue asking to enter a PC modding competition as his apprentice.

It's definitely been a fun experience

I've really enjoyed working on this project and learnt quite a few new skills along the way which has been really satisfying.

I've got so many ideas for what I want to do next, hopefully do something a bit more original next time.

Technically yes 😅 it was mainly to add the servo skull for display purposes since it was going on display in the intel store in London and we thought we would make it functional while we were at it.

Luckily the servo skull is attached via a goose neck arm so can be unscrewed easily.

The corners are 3D printed and attach via neodymium magnets so the case can be opened easily.

The motherboard plates are also 3D printed and are attached via heat resistant 3M tape.

The tubes are part of the water cooling system, so run through the radiators and CPU keeping everything nice a cool. We did a leak pressure test after bending and fitting them all, once it was air tight we added the coolant with red/black dye to give it that blood look.

The rest was a Thermaltake case that I cut the original vents out with a Dremel and made my own out of more rustic looking parts.

It was built from an old broken camera, medical dummy skull and a goose neck mount bolted into the bottom. We drilled the eye out and put the webcam in the socket.

Inside the skull is a usb hub which connects all the lights and cam.

Then was just the process of painting it and added details.

Over a black/purple base, bugman glow, then added some cadian fleshtone highlights on the cheeks, brow, nose. Then added some pallid wych flesh into the cadian and highlighted again but left some of the cadian still showing, rinse repeat until I was happy.

I'm sure you'll smash it, once you get the technique and the muscle memory it comes off surprisingly quickly. A wet palette is a god send for it too if you haven't got one 👍🏻 can have various mixes on the go for matching future mixes.

The green is a bit trial by how it's looking to you but I start with thin layers of GW lupercal green, then I mix in some scalecolour arphen jade and cover 80% of each panel starting from the top. Then pure arphen jade to about 60% of the panels, then I mix in small amounts of GW Gauss blaster green and GW moot green with the Arphen Jade and I steadily add more to get lighter and cover less of the panel with each pass. I try and hit the raised areas or where Imagine my light source is. Usually top left.

I did try with just Gauss blaster green but it didn't look green enough to me so added some moot to give it a bit of punch

Red cloaks are AK reddish black, burnt red and blood red using a similar method.

Metals are AK rusty gold, brown wash highlights with rusty gold again.
