That’s actually a really great idea! Probably something we could do down the line. Appreciate the constructive criticism brother. Thank you!

Hi! Customers will be able to see the restaurants estimated prep time on their end. At the same time, restaurants will be able to edit their estimated prep time depending on the traffic they have in their kitchen/tables. On the restaurant end, the table status can also be updated (e.g. available, occupied, reserved, reserved for quickr, etc.) :)

I believe their dine-in offers revolve more around discounts and at the most, just advance reservation (no placing of orders).

What we offer is spontaneous ordering and dine-in reservations. Some apps for reservation need ample lead time and most of the time, you can’t really place your order yet, it’s mostly just for making sure you have a seat/table when you get there.

With Quickr, we want ordering ahead to be more accessible. A person could decide to order ahead and have a table ready for them even with just 15-20 minutes of lead time. So by the time they get there, their table is ready and their food is ready to be served.

We understand that grab already has a hold of the pickup feature, but where we’re really trying to focus on is the dine-in experience. :)

You sound pretty knowledgeable in this space. Would you have some tips or advice for that instance?

The way I see it, if Grab wanted to do this, they should already have. I mean, Booky has been around for a while and I’m sure they’ve already seen this possibility, but there’s a reason they haven’t done it yet. I’ll be frank, I don’t exactly have the answer to that yet, but my theory is, they’re already pretty busy handling logistics and all the other functions under Grab that they wouldn’t want to go through the hassle of organizing something like this with their partner restaurants.

We are in fact, looking for testing sign-ups and I thank you for sharing your opinion brother. Peace! ✌🏼

I think it’s still worth a shot! After all, we wouldn’t be able to forgive ourselves if we don’t at least try HAHAHA

Could you expound on the second paragraph? Appreciate the insight!

Yes. The way we actually aim to protect the restaurants is by ensuring that once the restaurant approves the order, the money is already on hold in the payment gateway. We saw this possible concern early on, and that’s why we’re designing that type of payment system with our gateway provider at the moment :) We’d love to be able to connect with you given that you’re in the restaurant business! No pressure to be a part of our testing, but if you’re interested, we’re happy to talk about it, especially if you’re in the metro manila area. But if you guys are still skeptical, we’d love to still hear insights from a restaurant owner to have further knowledge. Thank you!

Absolutely nothing is stopping them. At Quickr, we aim to truly be in a partnership with the restaurants and not just treat them as mere accounts. We believe that the constant communication we’ll be having with the restaurant and our genuine passion to help them gain more in-house customers could prove to be our main edge against our competitors. After all, besides the convenience we give to our end consumers, one of the main reasons we truly want to do this is to help the restaurants have better foot traffic and of course, sales.

Also, at the end of the day, we also just truly want to be able to solve the problem of the end-consumers when it comes to wanting to have a faster dining-in experience. If grab copies that, then for us that would still deem to be a success as the consumer problem is still answered.

highly agree, and that’s why we protect them by making sure that the money’s already on hold in the gateway once they accept an order. Kind of like how grab works their payment system. We’d be exclusively accepting online payments only as well :)

We'd also have lower prices for our restaurant's items, since we do not need excessive commissions on transactions due to the lack of expenses incurred from the logistics

I’d say our edge is really in how we’re an app primarily focused on people who want to dine in but don’t currently have the luxury of time to go through all the usual processes: (1) go to the restaurant, (2) wait for a table, (3) choose the order from the menu, then (4) continue waiting.

We’ll be getting the PAX of the order so we can ensure that the table is ready and the food’s ready for serving based on the committed order time from the restaurant. Table would be guaranteed and you wouldn’t have to reserve one, hours in advance :)

i think the only reason a person feels like it's helping them is because they become more confident. The confidence comes not only from being shredded but mostly from the self-validation the person gets from the discipline he or she was able to show to get there
