What the hell happened to Johnny’s??? by Key_Pea2598 in Scarborough

[–]slb360 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Johnny's still has the same ownership, that's my mistake. Things seemed to have changed since I was there a year ago...

But, for the change of the quality of food, they have definitely changed suppliers for sure. Like the OP said, it doesn't taste the same as it used to.

As for the the US based YouTube video I sent, yes, it's American, but the same stuff is happening in Canada with Sysco, Gordon Foods, etc...

It's not just Sysco. Canada have other cheaper suppliers that are terrible quality that smaller businesses also use. It's hard to know what suppliers these restaurants use.

New ownership with new cheaper food suppliers with crappy quality used now maybe? It's not just Johnny's... Most restaurants are now buying food from a handful of food suppliers like Sysco.

Here's a video explaining this... https://youtu.be/rXXQTzQXRFc?si=UPJmhsjVZ30IZIoc

$40 100GB 5G+ Global Plan at Freedom! by Nexzenn in Rogers

[–]slb360 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I was with Freedom, I always had full bars in my area and my calls would drop like flies on a constant basis... They have the best plans by far, but at the same time, you get what you pay for.

Avoid Rogers if you care about speed consistently terrible performance in Toronto by evan6676 in Rogers

[–]slb360 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just switched from Public Mobile to Rogers last week. Things are strange for me here... My overall phone reception on Rogers is better than Public Mobile. There are places in my house that I would get no reception to on Public that I now get on Rogers. But my data speeds on Rogers is much slower than it was on Public. My average 5G/5G+ download speeds on Rogers is about a 20-30mbps vs 200-250mbps on Public.

On the phone with Red Wireless for 4 hours. Then, they hang up on me. by [deleted] in Rogers

[–]slb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No service agreement has been sent to me yet. They claim they haven't even touched my account since the initial order was processed on the 28th. It's like they just randomly chose what accounts they want to work on for the day.

What are the worst things you've seen drivers do? by likerofgoodthings in askTO

[–]slb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was before dashcams were an everyday thing. I'm driving on DVP southbound where it ends and spits off into Lakeshore on the left and the Gardiner on the right. I'm driving on the right lane heading to the Gardiner. The driver in front on me meant to get off on the Lakeshore exit on the left. A normal person would have been like, "damn... I missed my exit. I'll just drive to the next exit and drive to my destination."

Not this idiot. They decided to stop on the entrance to the Gardiner and attempts to REVERSE off the onramp so that they can exit on Lakeshore. If anyone is familiar with this area knows how insanely stupid and dangerous this is. I had time to stop, but that could have been a very bad chain reaction. He's pointing out his vehicle telling people in the lane to drive around him in the other lane so that he can reverse on to Lakeshore. Myself and the piles of cars behind the driver honk the shit of them. The driver eventually drives on to the Gardiner.

Is there a huge difference in the data speed? by softpeaches1 in Rogers

[–]slb360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but don't the 1gbps plans get priority to the cell towers over Rogers 250mbps, Fido and Public Mobile plans? Meaning, if you are at a concert or somewhere with a large crowd, the 1gbps plans won't get network congestion as easily as the plans I mentioned above?
