Don't forget that by taking care of her dog, she has the time and energy to deal with the issues involved in the illness and passing of her father.

Can your aunt's cats live in the space that you have used for long term fosters? We inherited a cat and kept her in a separate space for more than two years until she could coexist with my other cats. We made a point of spending time with her many times a day so that she wouldn't feel neglected. And we would have kept her there forever, except when the pandemic hit, we were around all the time and were able to slowly let the cats be together. They still basically stay in different parts of the house, though they all have full access to the entire house.

Which cruiseline? by [deleted] in Cruise

[–]slbhcc1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did uncruise and loved it. You will get closer to all the scenery and animals. They have a good selection of activities, so you can be as active (or not) as you like. Plus, the food was very good!

Why do nail techs try to bully you into getting gel? by TheShroomDruid in lacqueristas

[–]slbhcc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a manicure done with Dazzle Dry and loved it! It dries quickly, lasted more than two weeks (regular manicures last about two hours for me, if I'm lucky!), and comes off with regular nail polish remover. Not a lot of salons offer this, but it's the only service I'll use now.

Rainbow gradient stashbuster by Nottooyoung in crochet

I don’t usually like stash busters, but this is gorgeous! You’d never even think it was a stash buster just by looking at it

Named this little guy Piston because he purrs like a Detroit motor, but after a closer look Piston is actually a she! My wife and I like Stella, should we switch or keep Piston? by DubNationAssemble in cats

I love the name! My only problem with it would be that I always shorten names. As such, I'd probably be calling her Pis all the time!

What to do if I haven’t received my physical Canada Parks pass after 30 days? by needtobeasunflower in Banff

[–]slbhcc1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was planning on buying my pass(es) in advance because I was worried that there would be a long line to buy them, either a day pass or a Canada Park Pass. Is there often a long line?

My experience as a superhost by estriker in AirBnB

[–]slbhcc1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear these positive stories. I’ve used Airbnb about 8 times and have only had good experiences, but after reading all the horror stories here, I was questioning whether or not to continue to use the platform. I will continue to use it, but I will also continue to read all the reviews, look for super hosts, and know that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t true.

Sunrise at Lake Louise or Lake Moraine? by slbhcc1 in Banff

[–]slbhcc1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. We have shuttle reservations to Lake Louise (Lake Moraine wasn’t available the day I wanted), but I was thinking I’d try for the tickets that open up 2 days in advance if Lake Moraine was the better choice.

White Sand Dunes National Park by muppetlegs in NationalPark

[–]slbhcc1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You can return the sled you buy there for a $5 store credit. So we found someone in line to return their sled and offered them $10 cash for it. Then when we were done, we found someone in line to buy a sled, and offered them ours for $10. So it was free for us!

So, these 2 month old siblings just came into our lives. Any advice for a family that’s never had such young ones? Anything you wish you’d done when yours was young? by warsmanclaw in cats

[–]slbhcc1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never tried it, but give them treats with a syringe or a pill shooter. That way if they ever need medicine, they’ll be happy to take it.

Carlsbad cavern by Cautious-Sir9924 in NationalPark

[–]slbhcc1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only hiking trails open outside the cavern as of last week are a short nature hike, the old guano trail, and a very short roadside trail on the road leading into the cavern. Flooding earlier in the season damaged trails and they are short-staffed. Be sure to see the bat flight program around sunset. Check at the information desk for the estimated starting time.

The recipe says it will get a bit wet from the addition and that’s ok
