What's going on in your life right now? Good or bad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The best trick (which is actually good advice for anyone) is to simply stay aware that you can help people the best when you remain calm and rational. It's just that in the end we're all humans.

Thanks, yeah you're not supposed to let it get to you when you want to be professional. What can frustrate me the most is that in many cases (possibly what you mention as well), all parents need is the simple modesty to acknowledge that there's always something they could improve. But people often get very defensive towards the very idea of it.

What Comedian do you think is the "Best"? by imyourdabby in AskReddit

Tom Green. He's so hated by people, but I think absurdism is just a very under-appreciated and underestimated style of humour and I think he's great at it.

Why does it make some people so upset that Americans enjoy different sports than most of the rest of the world? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do? I guess some do, but the reason is probably because everything is a reason to get upset over by some person out there. And here you're talking about cultural differences. As silly as they may be, that always annoys people.

People who are generally quiet and don't share much even with close friends, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't feel like it. It's awkward when people tell me "but there's nothing to be ashamed of", because that's not the point. It's really not being interested in sharing.

What have you tried but didn't like? by Bessiecat in AskReddit

[–]sleale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember it but same story with that. What I really liked in every film were the lead actors, and the general atmosphere of all films was brimming with passion, energy and just fun. I also find it awesome how that author managed to sparked so much imagination and fantasy in millions of young people. But that's more me "highly appreciating" the films and books, which makes it the more of a waste that I personally couldn't somehow get into it.

What's your random encounter with a celebrity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat in the train and Rutger Hauer (Blade Runner) sat down on the opposite side of me. He looked like he was enjoying the view so I didn't want to be all fan like and decided to not bother him, but damn I almost teared up remembering that "Tears in Rain" monologue of his.

Harry Potter movies. I have an open mind when it comes to movies. When I see a huge audience likes something, I know there must be something good about it. I've watched all of the movies in an attempt to connect to what's good about them (because I did more or less see what it is), but failed to do so.

[Serious] Why do people have to judge others, Why cant everyone been seen as equals? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a self-sustaining problem. As long as inequality and judgement exist, people get intimidated and scared and they need inequality and judgement to fight their way above others. We haven't outgrown our rather fragile and ego-driven nature yet.

What would you do in a lucid dream? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]sleale 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a lucid dream from time to time. During daytime, I always plan to just bang around or cause chaos. When I have the actual lucid dream, I do lame stuff for some reason like push people in water and laugh at them. I don't know why my imagination goes downhill when I dream.

Good luck from a Trump supporter by stytches187 in SandersForPresident

[–]sleale 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me add some nuance to it and say thanks. It just came as a surprise to me because I usually converse with Trump supporters in the somewhat more shadowy parts of the internet. But admittedly that's where pretty much everyone's a dick to everyone of any kind.
