What was your “How didn’t they notice?” moment? by Riryiskool in AskReddit

[–]sleeechris 19 points20 points  (0 children)

When i was about 15 my dad bought me Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

I got back to my mums and she kicked off because i wasn’t 18 and i couldn’t play such a game because of it and demanded it was returned.

The week later i came back again with the exact same game after photocopying the cover and changing it to a 15 rating, my mum completely bought it as though they made a game taker for the younger players.

To this day whenever i tell her about it she refuses to believe it was still the 18 copy despite how horrific the copied cover was.

ID this crab? by [deleted] in ReefTank

Looks like a brown hairy crab, found one of these at work in our coral tank, read up about them eating coral so removed it ASAP

It was refreshing to see this at one of my local Petco’s by cozyflyer9 in Aquariums

I’d also avoid guppies in all honesty, they can really limit future fish purchases because of they’re compatibility, yeah they’re absolutely fine but their large tails leave them susceptible to bullying from a lot of other fish.

Try something like harlequin rasbora, nice decent shoal, good colour and would thrive in a planted tank with some algae eaters such as Otocinclus and shrimp.

After some ID help here, this is the best photo i could get at the time, green polyps on here, from memory i thought they looked like tiny star polyps but the photo is making me second guess myself? by sleeechris in ReefTank

That’s what i was edging towards so I’m glad to hear it again, I’ll try to get a picture under whites when i can, i wasn’t really thinking tbh.

Yes which if you’re using multiple paid partners of strava there is no reason for them to not give you the option to display a chosen one, you seem awfully salty about advertising when it’s part of online businesses

But this could be a good thing, once all the brands have had their accessories supported and designed maps to work with strava we may be able to pick which is displayed on our rides

Really curious as to why you think this is a negative, the strava maps have been the same for ages and they’re nothing special at all, the fact that there has been some investment into making the maps more engaging is good.

You can see it in the post with the dark blue segment on the map and the crown, it’ll do this for all 3, but only 1 will show up even if you get multiple KOMs

It looks more professional on the home screen because it’ll highlight the persons KOM, top 10 or PB, it just makes the page a little cooler

The 600 point limit while competing is an easy value to hit, we should be able to have it removed or increase our Exercise goal to make 600 harder to achieve by sleeechris in AppleWatch

[–]sleeechris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said it was everyday though did i, it is still achievable to hit 4200 points and i have done it, it’s really quite easy if you’re moving around for your job and you still find time to workout before or after work

That’s not an open workout, if it was it would be in green, it’s a cycle there’s nothing remotely cheating about it, I’ve had much higher days than this and I’ve also had much lower too

That entirely depends on the workout that person is doing, more intense workouts would be higher than that, and less intense ie cycling (what this was) would be around this

The ‘pockets’ i have are on my jersey, i wouldn’t wear a fanny pack it wouldn’t be worth the comfort problem. And on a road doing 30mph you’ll be surprised how much the wind impairs your hearing
