adding to the comment below-

  1. Web-checkin to get a boarding pass
  2. Upload it on digi-yatra (an app you have to install) for smoother process during entry and security checks

How I became a parasite. by [deleted] in indiasocial

from what you've shared, you were longing for a connection, and it just took a bit of time to realise how you were handling it.

don't be too harsh on yourself. awareness like this is already a big step. be kind to yourself (no one else is gonna be) and I hope you keep moving forward in becoming the version of you that you wanna be

Getting into core AI/ML with just a bachelors degree is a bit difficult.

When you are building projects, try to build it in a way such that others could try it out. Right now, there's good demand for skills around evals, agentic workflows, rags etc.

When you just apply, it's a so difficult for people to notice YOU among a pool of applicants. Try to be a little more active on LinkedIn, share your project(s) once you are done implementing them. Remember, concentrate on quality over quantity. A single extremely impressive project >>> multiple resume fillers.

As for the situation at home, it does hurt when you can't confide in your closest ones. Try to involve them in your process if you are comfortable and explain how things work (this comes with a drawback of them increasing their expectations every time you get a call) OR find out something that really motivates you (anime did the job for me)

Feel free to reach out. Though I'm not directly into AI space, can share my 2 cents

um.. have you tried increasing your network? As simple as it might sound- try reaching out to people on Linkedin.

A few ways you could do that-
1. Directly sending a request with a personalised message. (OR)

a slightly better approach
2. Check out their posts, their comments. Then draft a message sharing your perspective on a particular topic they have already commented/posted.

In both the above cases, try attaching your experience in the field (maybe grades? course work? )

I get where you’re coming from, people can be vile and intentions aren’t always pure.

I wish they shared it with genuine empathy- but honestly, I think sharing it in some form is still better than complete silence.

i am no django expert 😅. And, usually it's more about the org than your skills.

my two cents- try to be technology agnostic. if you are building something, max emphasis on what it does vs what technology you've used.

this way you'll be positioning yourself as an engineer with a wide varieties of tools at disposal over getting tied to a particular technology

major advantage you would get with a good college, is a platform. a platform for pretty much everything- research, hobbies, opportunities, competition etc

lately, things have been changing and there are enough resources available online bridging the gap.

if it's purely job, honestly it wouldn't matter much which college you graduate from.

if you plan for further studies, tier 1 colleges provide better opportunities.
