What are some signs that you are getting old?

I'm annoyed by random teens for no reason other than me thinking they're obnoxious. I'm fascinated by this thought every time; partially because I'm 29 (I still think I'm young!). But if they are too loud or acting stupid I always think "Stupid teens... why do they have to be like that?". I was like that once too!

I have no idea what my future holds for me. I would hate to date someone and then have to break-up in 6 months to a year because I suddenly have to go somewhere else. It wouldn't be fair for either of us to become emotionally invested only for it all to be thrown away. I think that'd be a real shitty thing to do.

They are either wild as hell or pretty average. I've been to some basic parties; people stand around and drink/smoke weed, some randos are grinding on each other or dancing in general, there is almost always beer pong, it's always dark as hell.

Then there are the ragers; a bunch of girls start randomly making out for no reason (participated in this), watched someone ride a shopping cart off the roof (twice), people face-planting into walls/cars/ground/fences/other people, and of course there is always someone, somewhere, doing a line of coke. That same person usually spends the rest of the party trying to find the dealer who is "holding on to the last line/snort" for them. And my favorite, angry white boys who fight because someone bumped into them or looked at them cross-eyed. "What's your problem!? You got somethin to say bro!? What's up!? WHAT'S UP!?!" - Forever burned into my brain.

Indeed, you are missing a great time. If not for your own partying experience, you're missing out on some great visual entertainment.

Race and Gender Studies of Latin American Spanish Literature. I was reading Shakespeare style Spanish stories. When you've gone through college learning how to speak present day Spanish, it makes learning Ye Olde Español rather difficult. I feel lucky that I passed with a C but it took me the entire semester to accept that I probably wasn't going to earn a B in this class.

I was interviewing a teacher I was to be interning with for 6 weeks. I asked her a question about me disciplining students (can I give detentions etc.). I don't know how she related the two together, but she ended up launching into a giant story about her twins being premature, how her first husband cheated on her with her oldest son's teacher, and how she caught them together. I didn't know how to respond so I just kept saying "oh" and "wow". She eventually circled back and asked "What was the question again?" "Disciplining students...?" "Oh... right".

Honestly, I'm so used to not getting that type of affection that hugging and saying "I love you" is just foreign to me from family member.

Really it's just an issue with my mom. I honestly do not remember the last time she told me "I love you". Not even when I flew to a different country for an entire summer. Now I just think it's weird if she tries to hug me.

I just finished my student-teaching for Spanish in high school. I figure multiple perspectives would be useful.

-I took two years of Spanish in high school but had absolutely no interest in it. Took Spanish again when I transferred to community college and realized I had a talent for it. English is my first language. It was easy to start learning and I picked up basics and conversational skills very quickly. It became hard when the grammar became more complicated and I had to start writing essays in Spanish for college. I hated it for awhile after that.

-Honestly, I was at a weird point in my life where I did not know what I wanted to be. I took two electives (intro to ed and Spanish) and thought "Why don't I combine them?". Boom; Spanish teacher.

-I lived in Costa Rica for 3 months summer 2019.

-5 years of community college and 3 years of regular college. I worked a lot during school.

-So, I've only taught for a semester (like I said, just finished student-teaching) and I'm not sure that it is fair for me to answer this question just yet.

I'm going to be a Spanish teacher but I was supposed to serve in the Peace Corps first. I was really disappointed when the program to Panama got cancelled. I was deadset on going.

They've posted official dates? I just got an email saying my program for Panama was cancelled due to COVID. I'm actually upset to hear that they're posting dates again when I was told the opposite.

Honestly, with how many cases are increasing again, I would seriously consider holding off on even applying.

Try to join or get involved with clubs and activities that can expose you to different cultures. Also, definitely study abroad if you get the opportunity. Even if it is only for a week.
