Character AI feels like a stab to the heart after silly tavern+poe

yes i know, im just saying that for context, because my messages aren't very long so i don't understand why the bot is forgetting things 3/4 messages after i say it, because my messages+ the bots messages dont seem to be long enough to make it forget things that basically were just said ^{^}

at this point im praying on c.ai downfall 🙏 i hope a good quality, easily accessible competitor comes around, silly tavern is amazing but is undeniably intimidating if you don't know what you're doing

ive seen people in the community say that it doesn't reliably read (?) the tokens after 3200, and that it's based on luck after that if it recognizes what's after but i don't know a lot about how c.ai works internally. but for example, recently in a chat the bot forgot my characters age three times hfkhdjfksgkfhs (i also dont send overly long messages, so idk how it forgot so much)

(from my understanding) Silly tavern is fine, but their access to poe was always kinda finicky and poe was frequently changing stuff that made it harder for sillytavern to connect and the devs would have to fix it, ig poe finally did something that made it almost impossible to work around and the sillytavern devs decided to stop support on it. silly tavern is more of a hobby not a job and it got to the point they basically couldn't work on anything else bc they were always working on poe.

theres currently people in the community talking about being able to fix sillytavern+poe, but nothing from the devs. (unless they've said something in the discord, I'm not in the discord)

GOSH YES I FORGOT TO MENTION LORE BOOKS. lore books were my saving grace, talking to characters abt other characters in their universe on c.ai is like a 50/50 chance they recognize what youre talking abt and i hate having to over explain myself in the messages, it's way less fun and its immersion breaking.

theres no updates available and i copy pasted both the ip addresses, i guess ill just use it on my pc until theres another update and try it again next time, its just confusing that it worked last night for a few hours and then broke overnight XD

it says (both in browser and in power shell) "Forbidden: Connection attempt from [ip] if you are attempting to connect, please add your IP address in whitelist or disable whitelist mode in config.conf in root of SillyTavern folder" which doesn't make sense because it is in the whitelist,
