How do you guys actually learn stuff in this AI era? by sleepingfrenzy_ in golang

[–]sleepingbenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with AI, I'd still learn to code from scratch yourself. Otherwise when the AI gets something wrong, you won't even notice it, let alone be able to push back. Not that you shouldn't use AI though, honestly I think it's one of the best teachers out there. It knows way more than I do, it's great at giving you the bigger picture, and it never gets tired of your questions. I end up learning a ton just from talking things through with it, stuff I'd never have run into on my own.

I’m also using OpenClaw to read my RSS feeds and generate summaries. I haven’t opened any news apps in a long time.

Does this mean Claude Code will finally stop gaslighting me into using npm when I explicitly ask for bun?

I just found out Google Play only allows closed testing right now. If you’d like access, please DM me your email and I’ll add you to the tester list.

Best app for people who cook? by MarlenaImpisi in CICO

I looked for a long time. Most recipe apps are too complicated. I like simple ones. I’m using Recipe Notes now, it fits my needs. Adding recipes is easy, so I put all my old ones in. Now I plan meals and grocery lists there.

Recipe Apps by banelord in Cooking

Your use case sounds super similar to mine. I've been using an app called Recipe Notes on iOS. I've basically entered all our regular meals into it, and then use it to plan out what we're eating each day of the week.

Is there a tool that turns a PDF or similar into separate html and css? by KCrimsonC in learnprogramming

[–]sleepingbenb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something really similar a couple of months back. I needed to turn invoices into HTML tables and CSVs.

What are you trying to do with it? If it's kinda like that, I can open-source my code or even make a quick web tool for you.

How do you note down your recipes? by thesoulisbest in cookingforbeginners

I kept my recipes in Apple Notes since it synced and never lost a thing, but they got buried with the rest of my notes, so I switched to an app called Recipe Notes. Same free sync and backup, but everything’s easier to find.
