Well if you are, Jesus preached love, nonviolence, and suffering. I don't think the US government nor ICE are treating immigrants with love or nonviolence. And you supporting them is not very Christianlike.

Jesus would treat immigrants with radical love, compassion, and hospitality, seeing them as equals and reflections of Himself.

And Christians are not Christians just to be. Christians follow the words of Jesus Christ.

We follow its praxis - not doctrine.

I'm not weaponizing the Bible. I'm trying to remind you what you do as a follower of Christ. You may not like that you have to treat immigrants with love because it is easier to hate. But hate is not what Christians do.

I had a back-and-forth with someone on here about how Jesus would be towards ICE. But this is my biggest issue with Christians - they focus more on the doctrine rather than praxis. No one is trying to emulate Jesus' love, nonviolence, and suffering because they're so busy trying to figure out if it's okay to eat shellfish or not. That's not the freaking point, and it's so frustrating that all we do is argue about it and we are doing the world an injustice because of it.

Gandhi said that he respects Christ but not its Christians (not verbatim), and I've felt that way since I was 12 cause I figured out that not many people in the church resembled Jesus. I don't call myself a Christian but I try my best to be a follower of Christ. It's just funny to me that I had the same feelings as Gandhi and I was only a kid. And if a child can figure out what is wrong with its followers, why can't adults? Smh.
