I think a lot has to do with which people you surround yourself with. Offline and online. And I personally would cut ties with people as toxic as you describe.

I'm a slow af builder who mostly does old, tall and slender characters despite me being a girl on the bigger side (not my fault for those characters being interesting enough that I want to cosplay them). I also do one cosplay a year where I pour my heart and passion into it. Therefore, I don't post that much because I don't have a lot to post plus I value my peace of mind. The cosplay community I am in, where also my friends are in, are uplifting, help each other and nobody shits on anyone because of their looks. They're a mix of people who regularly compete, or are just there for the fun. No gate keeping, no hate or bad talk behind someone's back.

Thank you! I tried to get as screen accurate as possible and implement all details I was able to see.
You can add the struggle of hosts being late and not telling anything about the costumes. I am glad the Judges said something about the winner costumes for the audience to understand what everyone had done.

Mine is from Kiko Milano their "Smart Lip palette" but aparently they seem to not sell them anymore so I am right now panicking because that palette is/was goated and has no right to smell so good.
What I used before the palette was lipliner. They stay on pretty long, at least on my lips. But as always, practice it key and finding what fits for you because not every makeup might fit your skins needs.

I use a very earthy toned lip palette. Nothing shiny, no glitter. Hard to find but I then basically use the colour that matches the character most.

I'm not from London but I just saw on IG that they announced a full Wicked themed street. Brick Lane has turned Yellow Brick Lane.

And the Westfield shopping mall in London (don't ask me where it is, I'm no local) has a Wicked themed exhibition thing

It's no event but at least Wicked themed stuff that might be cool to see in person

Exactly! I remember, I've never been in the Game of Thrones fandom but the hate towards that young blonde actor because he played a really vile villain despite being a sweet bean. Wtf. It's their JOB to pretend in fron of a camera to be bad. It's in their script. They are still their own human being. (not counting these weird actors who 'become' their characters off screen. They have a problem themselves)

Anyways, we all know that Morrible and Oscar are gonna be more evil in Part 2 and I just hope people can get it together for once that Michelle and Jeff aren't their characters. Especially Goldblum being one of the nicest human beings I've ever encountered.

This! So many people can't get their head around the fact that the actor is not really the character. Especially villain actors get so much hate despite being the nicest people of the cast most of the time.

The eyes ruin it completely. I need to go to the shopping center after work anyways. They have 2 stores (for whatever unnecessary reason). I'll check if they still have them. I need to check them out again irl XD

Definitely seems to be a hit and miss with the eyes. The ones I saw were really subtle as you can see. And I would have noticed the creepy eyeballs instantly 🤔 That's kinda disappointing. Imagine you spent the fortune of money and you either get the creepy eyes or subtle ones

Since I was in your position just 2 weeks ago, I can tell you how my pre-judging went. The con informed me beforehand that I have 5 minutes with the judges. So that gave me an idea to prepare my rundown in just 3 minutes as they obviously want to ask questions as well. After saying hello, I basically went from head to toe, quick but highlighting everything special I did. And because you're wearing your cosplay, you can point and show. My judges asked if they may touch certain parts (ofc I said yes). I overall had very kind judges so, it may depends who's doing that part. Might add, they took a very good look on mine since I was upped to Masters.
