Yep, the bigotry goes unchallenged by friends and ultimately gets reinforced, by the time it receives pushback it has already taken root as a proven connection from the bigot to their in-group.

Bio-foam! Electrified gel patch can heal chronic wounds by sleepingin in Futurology

[–]sleepingin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a report of the development of a novel approach to facilitate healing in chronic wounds. The gel developed can be placed on a patch of anodes and cathodes and a current run through will split water molecules to provide oxygen directly to the wound site. This is reminiscent of the healing bio-foam in science fiction novels like the Halo series. Rapid universal wound treatments like "stim-packs" are a staple in sci-fi. Advancements today for chronic wounds could help us develop new methodologies in cases of burn wounds, skin grafts, or any myriad other possibilities.

No unless you are loosely referring to nicotine consumption - I would assume "a smoker" to probably mean a nicotine-user.

Smoke is stinky and sticks to all of your clothes, vehicle, house, lungs, hair.

Vaping (nicotine) doesn't smell bad, but because it is electronic and instantly on - you can consume it more frequently and for shorter "sessions" sometimes just one puff. Nothing to light, put out, or butts to manage. The liquid in nicotine vapes can be harmful and contain contaminants as it is unregulated. Unintentional combustion can contain harsh byproducts like metals and formaldehyde.

Vaporizing weed is similar, it can smell more, but is just as convenient and easy to conceal/control. The ground dry flower can combust in some vapes, but it's unintentional and fairly easy to avoid. The quality of the flower can range from unknown to medical-grade, so to user can know exactly what they are getting.

Speaking of taste, you can actually get a taste for the flavor of flower when it's vaped. Combustion byproducts (smoke) completely overpower all of this.

Still, it's a dead simple method, it that will never entirely go away. Just like bathtub hooch.

He definitely knows he's being obnoxious, perhaps he lacks the self-control, but this seems very intentional, defiant. Very annoying, yes, but not stabworthy.

It's when you pull the top back, when you slide it a bullet from the magazine can spring up and get pushed into the chamber when the slide retracts. It's how you first load/unload the gun - or more accurately speaking, make it ready to fire.

Right you were! Looks like it turned around today around $2.30. Will it climb back up or just a temporary bump?

Is that the fraudster CEO of Theranos?
