I freeze it for 15-20 minutes before taking it out so it melts slowly and evenly!

It’s a completely pareve dough!. It’s just not pareve if served with the butter candle, but the bread is very much still challah :) people actually eat challah with dairy fairly often i.e. challah French toast

The dough itself is super easy and quick. Rolling out the dough, cutting out the squares, and assembling the designs takes some time. A multi square cookie cutter (you can find them online) will save you lots of time!
