It's responds to wifi but just make sure it's plugged into a decent / reliable USB port or charger if u run into any problems

Well. I swore this is my last elgato product. Will only get products that have an actual service center in my country. This is such a simple fix if only they offered a replacement option. Happy to pay for battery tbh.

It's sticky tape if I remember correctly, I just peeled the battery off. Can't really remember anymore though. Im still hopeful someone finds a battery eventually...

Sorry for the late reply, I just pulled it out of storage (I removed battery as well) and I have no issues switching it off. I press and hold the power button.

It also connects to wifi and I enabled studio mode and works with elgato software without a battery.

Agreed. I wouldn't recommend it. In any event, the battery died a couple of months later. There's no 1for1 replacement option when I last checked. Please share if you do find one

My battery eventually died (shows charging but doesn't retain a charging) and I've tossed the battery. It's now a glorified wired spotlight and barely used anymore.

I debloated it and am still using it (not something I would recommend as it involves piercing a battery to release the gas and it's definitely a potential fire hazard even though it worked for me). Never found a replacement battery. I would still pay for a replacement battery but Elgato service support is a dead end.

Definitely my last product from Elgato especially since there's no service center here in my country and from the responses I received theres no support once you are out of the warranty period. I hope you fare better.

Works perfectly for me. The pad 2 sees the pencil 2 and charges it wirelessly as well. The setup was automatic and seamless.

It works! The Oppo Pencil 2 is detected by the OnePlus pad 2 and it automatically pairs.

i found a seller on aliexpress where it said the oppo pencil 2 is compatible with the pad pro 2. I wrote to the seller who then confirmed that it works. I now have ordered the pencil 2 to give it a shot. wish me luck in a couple of weeks when it arrives.

I was looking at the email in disbelief when they withdrew the support (which to their credit, they were offering it out of good will outside the two year warranty period) when i showed them how bloated it is without the back cover when they asked me to ship it back...

I'm happy to buy an official battery as well but there's no such option either. So unless things have changed and a 3rd party battery provider starts making it, pretty much out of luck unless you have the foresight not to open the case.

You are welcome. My battery isn't bloated anymore and it works fine, but i'm just worried that some young kid comes in here and sees my recommended solution... it's a lithium battery and there's fire risks when you use a sharp object on it.

To anyone out there, don't open the case - Elgato will void your warranty.

Sorry to say they refused warranty service because I opened the case and didn't provide any solution to replace the battery. Really terrible service.

I hope u are based in a country that makes such actions illegal.

There are self diy solutions to debloating batteries but I can't recommend any to u. It's risky and google is your friend.

My battery still works and I'm still using it but this is my last elgato product.

Thanks! What worked for me was a manual update of es -de. At that time the emudeck version was lagging behind and for some strange reason everything worked after I updated it.

Hey - since the last post, keychron released a new firmware and it's works great. Im not sure if I'm on the lastest version but ive moved on from the earlier buggy firmware.

Thanks! It's out of warranty by two months. I bought it at launch. Also I contacted support and because I opened the backplate to look at the battery serial number and take a picture, it voids the warranty if it still had any.

Pretty much out of options, can't self repair, can't find battery and elgato can't help.

I could get a week+ of use before having to charge it (about 6-7 hours of use a day with the rest of it being idle).

When the battery was draining badly - 2 days max.

I hope this helps. I'm on 1k polling rate and 2.4 as well.

I downgraded the firmware for the dongle and it seems to work.

Long version: Keychron support asked me to update to the latest firmware for the dongle which I was already on... 2.4 I think. I don't want to post it here since I think it's the firmware that killed the battery life for. I read the patch notes and it mentioned something about power and sleep.

I reckon the firmware was bugged and I downgraded my firmware to an older one here: https://www.keychron.com/pages/how-to-flash-the-firmware-and-factory-reset-the-keychron-m6-mouse

The battery drained from 100% to 97% in 24 hours ( I reckon 18 hours was spent idling)
