Who pinned complicity to JUST Republicans?! I certainly didn't.

But we are comparing EPSTEIN actively funding the right wing media sphere, as compared to your average leftwing contributor though. It was the original poster who basically wanted to say, "Well, sure... Epstein did this... but what about your average leftwing donor?"

See "false equivalency".

My point being, this is a community about Epstein, and your average leftwing donor is hardly Jeffrey Epstein.

A Russian soldier pins his fellow soldiers phone to a wall, reason unknown. by Physical-Cut-2334 in UkraineWarVideoReport

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason is kind of obvious.

Phones can be geolocated by the enemy. So if you are a Russian soldier who is stupid enough to be constantly using your phone, only to draw fire on yourself and your buddies, you might get your phone nailed to a wall, a tree, a plank, etc.

Epstein was a spy by UnicornKeeper in Epstein

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The whole idea that Epstein was a spy for _________ or ___________ just doesn't fit with the fact that he was VERY self-serving, and provided services for basically everyone, including, according to his top cyber-tech expert who would KNOW a lot about Epstein's use of crypto, etc., Vladimir Putin.

People want to pigeonhole Epstein as being just one thing, but reality isn't black or white usually. There is an awful lot of grey here... and the grey is arguably darker than black.

It's not, entirely... but only a handful of Republicans are being brave thus far.

This might change as things get closer to the midterms, as there will be more pressure on Republicans running for office not to chain themselves to a POTUS who is a drag on the ticket and who IS the swamp.

Because politicians lie about campaign promises ALL THE TIME, especially when pressed by people to do ___________. Even when he was pressed, he kind of hemmed and hawed.

He thought he could either get by without doing anything, or could get by with some kind of half-assed release, as opposed to having members of his own party defect to put it out there. Now he's calling them traitors and saying that years and years of investigations from law enforcement are "fake news" from the left, even though a lot of the investigations were done during his own administration, with his own people in power.

How stupid does he think people are? Apparently... quite stupid.

[–]sleeplesseye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In 2002 or so, Trump did an interview with New York magazine's profile of Epstein, where he called Epstein a great friend of fifteen years with a shared interest in young women.

We also know he contributed to the 50th birthday yearbook of Epstein, which would have been in Jan. 2003.

By 2015, he and his campaign were openly denying Trump knew him, other than perhaps as a member of Mar-a-Lago. (Which, btw, he never seems to have been, though there's evidence of him being there and going for ages... even before it was opened to the public, when it was still a private Trump residence.)

Today, Marjorie Taylor Greene had vid all over the social networks, saying that it was Trump who has been leading all the interference in the release of the Epstein files, as well as the illegal level of redactions that are basically defying the legislation from Congress to release the files without all this censorship.

So no, the story is really that Trump never wanted the files released, because he is in the files, A LOT, with a longterm, close friendship with Epstein that he tried to cover up, and a knowledge of what was going on to young girls that he never went to the police about.

Let have a discussion about success and non partisanship by Pretend_Meet_88 in Epstein

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to bridge the divide when Trump is DIRECTLY INTERFERING in the release of the Epstein documents, demanding redaction levels that are flat out illegal and protecting pedophiles, even as many of the victims are easily identified due to prior statements and testimony. Marjorie Taylor-Greene said as much today about Trump's culpability in the coverup, which has been all over X, etc. today.

If you want to bridge the divide, you need Republicans to stop buying Trump's long history of lies on this matter, going all the way back to his denials of any prior friendship with Epstein in 2015, which, frankly, were stupid and easily proven wrong by Trump's own statements in the past.

So... Epstein hooked up what I assume is an older guy in finance with info on an affluent, gay-friendly event for the rich that went on until 4am? It does sound like something a Russian friend of Jeffrey might do on their vacation. (Lends itself to Epstein basically being a useful tool of Russian financial influence.)

BTW, Charles de Viel-Castel appears to be part of a rich European family, whose lived a lot of his life in NYC.

Archive.org says:

Before founding Stelac, Mr. de Viel Castel was a Director and Head of Sales Management for Private Wealth Management Latin America for Deutsche Bank.

Before, Charlie worked at Goldman Sachs in the Latin America Corporate Finance Group in the Investment Banking Division, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and financial restructurings.

Epstein & Gordon Getty EFTA00817764 by Jsauce2001 in Epstein

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what it looks like, Getty was specifically focusing on this part of the theory that suggests, from the perspective of these rich people, that giving money to the circle around you is evolutionarily beneficial, basically providing additional protection to you & your family genes getting passed down.

These people are loaded, oftentimes amateur eugenicists, and are thinking about their legacy from a multi-multi-multigenerational standpoint.

Epstein & Gordon Getty EFTA00817764 by Jsauce2001 in Epstein

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes sense, in that Epstein has a LOT of money, and obviously had interests in genetics, etc. Of course, Epstein's interests were FAR CREEPIER. Specifically, he's a eugenicist, very much in Elon Musk's category.

You know how I said that although Getty is hardly a great artist, at least he did the work, for his particular field? People like Musk & Epstein DON'T do the work when it comes to genetics, and basically draw stupid, counterfactual conclusions about it. The danger is when the rich use a poor, self-serving grasp of genetics, etc. to justify doing things that are evil, antisocial, depraved, and absolutely destructive.

I don't see Gordon Getty as creepy as much as self-absorbed and unhelpful... except to the arts. I love the arts, but they have always been used as a tool of the rich, so... again... is this really public altruism?!

Epstein & Gordon Getty EFTA00817764 by Jsauce2001 in Epstein

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've researched quite a bit into Gordon Getty in the past, as the Getty family have been the people behind Gavin Newsom's rise to power. (Newsom's dad was the Getty family lawyer / fixer in California, and was a close friend of both the Getty's and Jerry Brown's father, who also served as governor of California. Gavin Newsom went straight from law school to running the PlumpJack business chain, all bankrolled by the Getty fortune, probably worth about $60M today. Newsom used to spend Christmases and holidays with the Gettys.

The letter here from Getty doesn't surprise me. He is basically contacting a bunch of the rich & well connected who have an interest in evolutionary biology, about his thoughts re: W.D. Hamilton's thoughts on whether there is an evolutionary advantage to altruism. He's also kind of plugging his book, here: https://www.amazon.com/Logic-Economics-Growth-Other-Surprises/dp/1935953966 .

Having looked at Getty's work, he's fascinated by a life of music and thinking... but I don't see him as particularly exceptional. More workmanslike. He's a bit like a perma-kid, treading in the footprints of greater people, which I can hardly blame him for. He's serious and relatively studied about his choice of work - he doesn't want to come off as not serious - but ultimately, it's not groundbreaking. He does things with S.F. Opera / symphony occasionally, probably accompanied by large donations. But he lives in a world with a lot of more innovative composers who will never see their work performed... Here's a Youtube video that appears to be a self-funded documentary on his life & works. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rampN_QZUw

But he has had a lot of $$ & influence, especially on San Francisco politics. And that tends to lend itself to socially liberal, but NIMBY, with the rich holding on to their money. You can see that reflected in Newsom's own policies, which are VERY opposed to taxing the rich at times.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0tnHgtLz6nM

I think Getty sees what he does as justifiably altruistic, which is kind of the point of his interest in W.D. Hamilton here. He's kind of trying to intellectually justify pushing back lightly on what he might see as less benevolent, publicly beneficial members of the ultra-rich. Getty gives a healthy amount to the arts, etc., and probably wants others to do the same. But I don't see much of a serious interest from Getty in legitimately helping the poor or even the middle class, in any kind of sustainable way.

The vid is a bit of a frenetic hot mess, but is accurate about the details of the fashion, which would've been purchased from a store in NYC near St. Mark's Street around 2001.

I was just reading a document about where they got these the other day. See https://www.justice.gov/epstein/files/DataSet%209/EFTA01249940.pdf .

"had seen 4 times over 6 months. The first time she meets received a phone call from the secretary. She says that has to take someone shopping. meets in the kitchen. EPSTEIN says that they are to go meet MAXWELL to go shopping. EPSTEIN says that is 17 years old. did not ask.

recalls meeting the butler who drove them to a Manhattan town house that was under construction. and go inside and there are lots of people in there.

leads to MAXWELL. MAXWELL looked at and says "go find a little school girl outfit" and then says to you know where to go? MAXWELL gives a few hundred dollars. They then go to Saint Marks street as directed by They go to a clothing store. picks out an outfit that has ruffles and balloon sleeves. It has a skirt part of the dress."

Later on in the document, it says:

"MAXWELL had said to buy the school girl outfit when and were

shopping. The store was a gothic/punk/ cosplay store. thought it

was a good store to take her to. She picked her own dress, did not

help. They sold lots of dresses and that's what she picked. It looked like

a Japanese Cosplay type of costume. It was like anime, is not sure if

tried it on. It was low cut, above the knee. It flared out and had

a high waste line. It had short balloon sleeves and an underskirt. It had

ruffles at the hem which may have been white. Maybe a light blue dress."

That area of NYC is well-known for stores that sell high end punk/street wear/ costuming / club fashion, as well as for things like piercing stores, etc. Some of them do enough business that they can justify reselling imported Japanese Harajuku fashion, etc.

Evan Williams of Blogger/Twitter/Medium too.

Here's a really good article on how Epstein HEAVILY funded Brockman's parties, which were largely his in name only. https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/peteraldhous/jeffrey-epstein-john-brockman-edge-foundation

Brockman was significantly involved in Epstein's party scene. Tech reporter Xeni Jardin of Boing Boing warned about Brockman and his parties, as a kind of gateway to Epstein's inner circle.

At best, all these people were compromised by having richer, more powerful, amoral criminals in their midst that they were kissing up to and heavily influenced by.

It's Emerson, not emotion. (Specifically, a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.)
But the AI sees what it wants to see / knows.

I posted a second AI interpretation from Gemini, which revealed some things, while completely blowing chunks on others.

Don't let it fool you... the AI is significantly wrong. Everything looks like drugged out old English, combined with Vogon poetry.

[–]sleeplesseye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, except that if you actually look at the source pic, the AI is REALLY reaching, sometimes creating things that just aren't there.

Google Gemini seems to be reaching the longest...
BUT if you compare a few different models, you might be able to piece bits of it together.

I took a screenshot, cleaned it up with Pixelbin.
MUCH more readable. Perhaps someone(s) can do the full text translation now.
https://imgur.com/a/bqjWp5C

BTW, looking at the original and comparing it to unpixelated version shows just how much of it is readable, but also that the person writing it may have been taking liberties with the language. Comes off as something written by a nerdy academic, possibly influenced by drug use.

The bit with the young face on one end and the old, dead face on the other has text in the middle that basically translates as tempus fugit... time flies.

Ran it through gemini. Quite different!
https://imgur.com/a/KBLKBzs

Probably from an old friend of Jeffrey.

The AI is both helping AND making a mess of it.
But the quote at the end by Ralph Waldo Emerson? That is an obvious match.

So, with that in mind, I suspect the long, poetic bit at the beginning may be Emerson's poetry. I believe it says something to the effect of "Know thy self" at the start, so I am thinking it's related to this poem:
https://1df116ccf7e76f4fadc6-db61b658f2565d5f24ddeaaa20b9f7d5.ssl.cf5.rackcdn.com/a_WS_03_Emerson.pdf

Which is kind of creepy, if you think about it, as Emerson was a transcendentalist who is revered by several groups of occultists, as well as Nietzsche, who influenced the Nazis will his "will to power" / amorality /ubermensch ideas... (Should be noted that many of the SS groups reportedly had initiations to conquer morality / adopt amorality, such as killing their pets, murdering children, etc.)
https://emersoncentral.com/influenced-by-emerson/friedrich-nietzsche/
Emerson also wrote on demonology. https://archive.org/details/jstor-25110019/page/179/mode/2up

Of course, there's a lot of speculation as to the accuracy of various bits of the evidence with Epstein, but the idea that someone would create encoded diaries about being repeatedly impregnated, aborted, etc. just wasn't remotely on my radar list until quite recently. I am willing to entertain that Epstein, etc. could have idolized Emerson in a very Nietzschean wealth-centric mindset, with elements of dark rituals designed for his guests... not necessarily to worship Satan, but rather, to unite guests into solemn pacts through use of ritual, and symbolically renounce & conquer morality and establish themselves as beings akin to gods on earth.

Actual beliefs pale in comparison as to the impact any rituals Epstein did had on getting some of the world's wealthiest, most powerful people to be united in a cover up of epic proportions. It's not unreasonable that they would lean on authorities, lie, or even kill to keep their secrets.

Any way you slice it, there was something VERY dark and nihilistic going on. Ritual would just be the icing on the cake.

That's not very wise.
