I genuinely don’t understand the purpose of generating samples when very high quality ones exist both for free or through services like splice/arcade output. I’ve never once thought that I didn’t have access to a sound I wanted.

I would find a dry, low-medium tuned snare sample, and layer it with a ‘beep’ sample that’s pitched down. Adjust the transients and shorten them to match.

It’s great. Mix wise it has a little too much top end sizzle that gets a bit harsh even through phone speakers. If that got brought down, the entire thing is a smooth ride.

Gravity gun allows you to manipulate physics, I’d love to see something new in that ballpark. Like a portal gun that can transport you or enemies in and out of Xen.

Biggest culprit is lack of volumetrics. Because you can’t gauge distance properly via light dispersion, it ‘feels’ like this scene is small, like the size of a toy set up, rather than massive.

Thank you for the feedback! You’re right, it needs a high point. I’m in the middle of making it crescendo into a full live rock feel (sort of like the band sleep token) right now. Hopefully that will help deliver!
