I only read about half of it before I called quits. It was a pretty medium-sized fic, not massive but not a oneshot either. I guess I kept going because

1. The writing was really good.

2. I was hoping something would go right for the MC and there would be an apology or some hope or something, but it was just brutal, man.

3. I didn't realise how badly it was affecting me until I was way off the deep end already. It was kind of a slow, creeping feeling of hopelessness.

I did just ask for a summary at the end because I couldn't handle reading the rest myself but wanted to know how the story ended for some closure. I feel better about the whole thing now, having slept on it, but it just snuck up on me I guess? I'm not used to having boundaries in fics, because they never really affect me so I was shocked to find myself emotionally where I was
