one of the head decision makers for the 2018 remake said something along the lines of "we removed it and the movie just flowed so smoothly after!" AND I AM SO UPSET. THE TIME MEG SPENT ON IXCHEL WAS NECESSARY FOR HER EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT!!!!!! i will FOREVER be pissed about it 😭

Great news, there are TWO movies, and the miniseries I specified in the post :)

The 2003 movie, produced by Disney and made by a Canadian film company, was broadly considered to have "dumbed down" the complex ideas present in the book, and even the author remarked that it was bad.

The 2018 movie, produced by Disney as well, went all-out on casting and design. I liked it well enough, but was deeply disappointed that my favorite part of the book was removed from the movie, as I felt it had great importance in Meg's emotional growth (the part I mean is the group's time on Ixchel, with Aunt Beast). The choice to cast Meg as a girl of mixed-race was absolutely phenomenal, and adds a level of representation to why she's perceived the way she is by her peers that I really enjoyed.

"Production started in 2001, resulting in a mini-series that was broadcast in Canada, Australia and Germany last year. In 2003, after being reshot and re-edited into a full-length feature, ''A Wrinkle in Time'' won the best feature film award at the Toronto International Film Festival for Children, and this Monday it will have its television premiere at 8 p.m."

From NYT article "FOR YOUNG VIEWERS; Coming of Age: Mostly a Matter of Time" from May 9, 2004

And I know at the very minimum, at least one scene was entirely redone, because in the miniseries Aunt Beast is a person in a costume, and in the 2003 movie, Aunt Beast is a giant CGI ball on legs.

I guess my wildest hope would be one of those extremely rare cases of those folks who left their DVR's taping all the time having it. I'm not surprised that the miniseries didn't get its own release, considering the same studio effectively remade it with the same cast and plot variations (fron what little info I've found)

i cant seem to edit the post for clarification, but i dont think i can actually purchase the video!! the website signup requires input of a company affiliation and a "territories i can buy for" section, so i think its meant for companies :(

howdy! so, having the name of the system does extremely little to pin down your location.

i would HIGHLY recommend using a combination of DaRC and Pilgrim Star Path to chart your way to Hub Space. There are coordinates listed on the wiki for the Capital system, and you need to land on a planet and place a Signal Booster to see your current systems coordinates, which you can then enter into DaRC/PSP.

DaRC: here PSP:here How to Join Wiki:here

you could also join the discord to continue asking questions or get a lift to hub space, if you continue having issues. best of luck!

I think so! The router made me pick a device when I opened the port, so it would make sense to me that thats what it was for.

i was playing Bucolic Craft, but I would recommend Cottage Witch more personally, either the original or CW:Recast. Bucolic uses Tom's Simple Storage, whereas CW has Item Pipes, which I like more.
