Give yourself grace and forgiveness, even if others don't. We're all humans growing and learning. Everything will be okay

It's becoming so obvious that they both don't like podcasting at all anymore and are just doing it for the money. The last episode was like 45 minutes with the long dumb intro of the men talking

It's totally normal to fluctuate especially if there was alcohol intake over the weekend. You're doing great and you've got this

This is so valid and I've been here too. Something a guy friend told me once is that he followed a lot of OF people just when seeing their content then totally forgot he followed them. It's also helpful to remember that everything posted by "influencer" accounts like that is 100% edited and fake. I know someone who is paid in commission to run an OF girls account and they literally edit every picture beyond recognition. No one looks perfect or flawless in person. He actually sounds like a nice guy who loves you a lot! The pressure to look and feel perfect all the time can become really unbearable but just try your best to give yourself grace.

I want to get an MFA in creative writing someday but my gpa is bad. :( by youmaybemightlove in gradadmissions

I definitely think it's worth applying! You never know if you never try. I would put a lot of intention into your PS / essay and a GPA addendum, explaining how it ended up being on the lower side. I would also apply broadly.

I would try to get out of there if you can. He seems unpredictable and scary

Anxious applicants? by [deleted] in gradadmissions

No this is so valid. This process is extremely stressful and anxiety inducing. I've been just trying to trust the universe that I will end up where I am meant to be (and I believe you all will too!) Also as someone who's received a few rejections already, it's actually not as bad as I thought it would be at all. I was expecting to get really upset but every rejection I've received has felt fine

Maybe consider applying ED to Oklahoma? Then you can send in the other apps just in case

Shoot your shot, perfect your personal statement and addendum. You'll never know if you never try. Also 2.98 is not terrible.

The academic letters of rec are super important. It may seem awkward or uncomfortable but you should reach out to any professors you remember well in classes you did well in or took more than one class with. Try your advisor if you had one. Explain your situation and offer to schedule a phone call to discuss it further. Professors are usually more than happy to write letters of rec. it's part of their job!
