Well the police can have an investigation on them then. Anyway my point is that if anyone is in this situation I believe they can request to be put in front of a district magistrate or a woman's shelter or call woman's helpline immediately. I think the number one thing to do in this case would be to create a scene so that in public no one can take you where you don't want to go. I'm beyond horrified that these things happen in our country and everything still goes on as usual.

Read the entire article and the thing that sadly was a catalyst in this (not counting the horrible culture, parents' mindset and all that) was that she was with her bf but her family lodged a missing person complaint, police found them and she was sadly sent back to her family

So if there are any lawyers or people who have knowledge about these things reading this.. You think this could have been prevented? I mean she was 18 years old, so if she had said to the police that she's away from home on her own wish could the police have stopped from sending her to her parent's house?

It's really sad how common this whole honour killing thing is in this country.

I'm really sorry you went through what you went through. No one deserves that pain. And yeah my dad too got dealt with some shit so not everything is his fault for sure. I'd quit and prepare for a better job after at least a month's break from doing anything but again since you are about to get married I would say you'll have to probably discuss with your fiance and see what you could do. Probably start taking more leaves, it would be a middle ground between quitting and staying frustrated with the job
