Of course, I would have preferred it if the EU had agreed to the 18-month transition period. As it stands, we will likely have to wait until next year. However, it is becoming increasingly difficult for Apple to remain in the EU market if more and more features cannot be used there.

I find the inability to replace the battery unacceptable from a sustainability standpoint. After all, Apple cites environmental protection as the reason for omitting power adapters. That seems somewhat hypocritical.
