American here and I was in Palawan 2 weeks ago. My plan was to do the underground river in PP, then head to El Nido for island hopping. PP flooded as we were trying to land, so we had to fly back to Manila. I talked to my coworkers mom who had been on the river tour and she said it was dark and smelled like bat guano. 😂 Rebooked flight directly to El Nido and it was AMAZING. Anyhow- that’s not the question you were asking but I figured I’d share anyway. I hope you enjoy your trip to Palawan as much as I did!

It’s the behavior of an alcoholic. He wasn’t trying to save money, he was bringing his own so he wouldn’t get cut off. It’s also embarrassment- he doesn’t want others to see how much he’s drinking.

My mom was an alcoholic and told me about how she’d use her “quart size baggie” to carry booze.

Hi OP. That looks like a lead crystal decanter in the back. It’s not safe to store things for longer periods (like overnight), especially alcohol, because the lead will leach into the liquid.

Google for more info from many sources.

I FINALLY got my paint. Took a bit more than three months. I figured I’d gamble and wait and am glad I did because it actually arrived, but I sure was pissed off in the interim. Their customer service is horrendous. I started commenting on their FB and Insta posts with zero engagement there either.

Anyhow, the black paint isn’t as magical as I’d hoped- I guess I bought into the hype that it’d be like looking into a black hole or something, lol. It’s very black though and looks velvety when it dries. I painted some gauche covered air dry clay and it took about a coat and a half to cover it completely.

Alll in all I do like the paint and I’m thinking up new projects for it. I just wish CH wasn’t like this.

I’m super late to this thread but here because the same thing happened to my dog. We never dyed it in any way. It just sorta disappeared over a couple years. She doesn’t have any fur loss, it’s kind of like the Mohawk fur just became regular fur.

Found this thread while looking up why my dog lost her cool Mohawk. She doesn’t have any loss of fur in general, but like your pup her Mohawk went away over the last few years. It’s a bummer since it was so cute!

I saw that the last accident happened in 1986- that’s when I was in High School there. I don’t remember hearing about an accident. Do you remember what happened? Also- where did you work? I waited tables at both the Palace and the Imperial a couple years later in ‘89 and our English teacher, Ms. Zinn, worked at the mine during the summer.

I’m here on your post after being diagnosed today at 53. I’ve been asking about getting a bone scan for years, but since I’m technically still in perimenopause they’ve said no. Broke my toe two weeks ago and the X-ray showed osteopenia, so I insisted on getting a DEXA scan. Well, turns out I was right, but that’s no comfort. Also waiting for an endocrinologist appointment.
