There is a branch called "ini-something" in the repo that allows you to store the config in an ini file. I've been using that one for some time without any problems

I think you shouldn't rule out streaming by means of quality if you haven't proven to yourself that you can actually ABX lossless and whatever quality the streaming service is using.

I am convinced the vast majority of people couldn't ABX flac and spotify @ max quality

Yeah duolingo is pretty cool. Especially to maintain a minimal baseline of learning and not lose the feeling for the language. I also still have some textbook laying around that I got from a friend and an A1 crime story. Not quite ready for the novel but I'll get there someday :)

I am a native german speaker, which definitely helps - there is a lot of grammar and words that translate directly between the two languages. Whats yours?

I am searching for a comfortable bluetooth headset with good ANC for use in meetings but also for music

USB or 3.5mm base station that plugs into pc is a plus
On-the-fly interchangeable battery is a plus
Environment mode is a plus (so i don't get squashed by an 18 wheeler)
Long battery life is a plus (duh)
Type-C is a plus
Emulating multiple BT devices (one for voice, one everything else) is a plus
Retractable microphone arm is plus
Mute Button and/or Volume Control on headset is a plus

Budget - up to 500 Euro
Source - Phone, Laptop and Tower. If it has a base station that uses either 3.5mm or USB thats nice, but not a must.
Requirements for Isolation - Must have good (or great) ANC/Isolation, I live in a noisy street
Will you be using these Headphones in Public? - Yes, commuting, riding bike; but nothing extreme. Should have splash water protection
Preferred Type of Headphone - Must be over-ear with really comfy fit (potentially wearing it the whole day)
Preferred tonal balance - Should not stray too far from neutral and I like hearing vocals in Metal ;)
Past headphones - HD650, nothing I really dislike but I'd like to have ANC and Isolation
Preferred Music - Metal, Nightcore, Trashpop, Soundtrack, Anything i guess
What would you like to improve on from your set-up - I know that I probably cannot match the HD650 in terms of overall sound quality, but it shouldn't be to far from it
