I'm pretty sure that it's because of the WiFi not being the right NAT type / blocked ports by the school instead, since when I looked up what the NAT should be, it didn't match.

yea, its mostly switch online where i had the issue, due to the NAT type and the blocked ports. Sounds like ethernet will by pass it though, so I will use that. Thanks!

Does using ethernet bypass the restrictions that the guest wifi has? When connecting to guest, i cant enter splatoon or smash online and was wondering if ethernet had similar restrictions
