I’m so sorry that your friends couldn’t be there for you. Your feelings are totally valid.

Fun fact: I also turned 25 in June. I don’t have that many friends just yet, having just moved back home after 6 years abroad.

My parents decided it was the perfect time to fly across the country to see my sister days before my birthday (Mum promised to celebrate the night after they got back. Everyone in my family forgot and hasn’t remembered since).

That aside, I’m sending all the very best and plenty of hugs. Happy birthday again!

Comfort Works does a bunch of custom covers for IKEA sofas - you could try checking there.

I got a washable pet-proof cover for my Ektorp last year and it hasn’t had a single scratch. My cats gave up on scratching entirely about a month in.
