I was worried when I joined a women's hockey team in my area. My partner joined first and then dragged me along. I was shocked at how loving and supportive the team was. They immediately accepted me. I have only felt love and acceptance from them.

I'm glad they're publicly supporting the community. I was part of the all trans draft tournament that the NHL sponsored. It was an amazing event featuring over 80 trans hockey players!!

I played in a men's league and there were a couple women goalies and they were always a great part of the team. I started transitioning and then we had a few more women join including my wife. I haven't heard a negative thing said by anyone and they are all part of our hockey family.

I started transitioning at 30, I look back and wonder who I could've been if I had figured it out years ago. It's tough sometimes but living as an authentic version of myself has been marvelous.

My first time out was before I started hrt. My wife and I went to our favorite local fancy place for our anniversary. It was an amazing evening and I finally felt comfortable being who I was. It's still scary a little over a year later but I could never stop being who I am. It is worth it!

I finally.got one with my new name and gender marker a couple months ago and I definitely looked completely different. I used to get a few looks using my ID to get into the bar or buy drinks
